1. Believe in your product

If you believe in your product, you can be genuinely enthusiastic why other people should like it too. If you don’t believe in your product yourself, deep down you may feel that you are behaving dishonestly and this will have an adverse impact on your sales. That’s where affiliate marketing comes, where you can choose and try things before selling them.

2. Sell makes people happy

A great sale is a perfect place where both buyer and seller are happy. And with a great product, all you have to do is to point out the benefits to your customer to help them see it is the best solution for their needs. All customers are looking to buy something that solves a problem or will enhance their life.

Helping them find that solution with your product or services saves your customers time and effort for which they will thank you. That is actually a part of being a blogger – to use your influence to help people find things that they will enjoy. For example, at affiliate marketing platforms you have a variety of brands that you can choose from to sell something that you really find useful and believe in it yourself.

A Skyscraper Technique is a strategy to outrank your competition by writing a much better piece of content.

You’ll target the same keyword as your competitor has, and you’ll create an article that is better by all counts.

For example, you’ll make your post longer, much more detailed, and you’ll cover topics your competitor hasn’t.

What is SEO?

It’s the process of optimizing your content in a way that will increase your blog’s visibility online.

Make no mistake, developing and improving SEO skills is a hard, long, and complicated process.

However, there is no way around it.

Getting your site more visible in the search results will help you drive more traffic to its pages. More traffic will improve your chances for affiliate sales.

Here are some of the SEO skills you’ll need to master:

Researching and understanding the competition (we already covered a big part of that)

Learning how to do keyword research

What if your biggest competitors are equally popular on more than one Social Media platform?

Shouldn’t you try to grow your business everywhere as well?

No, you shouldn’t. At least, not just yet.

Don’t compare yourself to people who have become marketers long before you have.

As a newbie affiliate, you’ll have plenty to do about your promotions and not enough time.

Instead of wasting hours to chase shares on every Social Media, put your effort into what matters the most:

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is a business model many people over-complicate while they explain the idea behind it.

Let’s take a look at their definition for a moment:

More often than not, four parties participate in the process of affiliate marketing:

Merchant – By merchant, you should image a company selling products/services and invites affiliates to promote them.

Platform/Network – Quite frankly, many times merchant and network are the same. Still, think of the network as an international or a third-party platform where a specific affiliate program operates.

Marketer (Affiliate) – An affiliate is a person that promotes products and earns a commission once a customer purchases through their link.

Consumer – A consumer (or customer) is any member of your audience that buys something after receiving your recommendation.

By all means, this is the cut-and-dry explanation of affiliate marketing.

Considering this is the beginners guide to affiliate marketing, though, let me translate everything through simple language:

Basically, affiliate marketing is a way to earn online by promoting another person/company’s products or services.
