What that means is,

As an Affiliate marketer,

You have to learn and be a master in one of the major traffic sources.

That mastery of the traffic sources helps push your success rate to a certain level.

From my experience thus far,

I have come to discover that products and people are the two most importantFactors

My coach/mentor will always say,

"it is not about you as the owner of the business"

"It is about the people and the products"

"Never sell a product to people because you like it",

"You are not the one using it".

It simply means you start with people, know what they want, then build or sell around that need/want.

Since what we have been on about is Affiliate marketing,

then we are talking about selling a product that was created by someone.

And the quickest way to make money from
the product to meet a starving/hungry audience

Truth be told

If you discover a vaccine that cures covid 19 right now,

Even if you suck at sales

You will become a billionaire overnight.

Why so?

Because you are selling a hot product that is solving a problem

and people(starving audience) will pay you any amount to get the vaccine.

So if you figure out the starving
crowd

and what they’re starving for

he next place is how to deliver this to
them.

For any business to ever grow and thrive for a long time is a factor of these things: 👇

1. People(that will buy )

2. Product (the thing you are selling)

3. Places/Platform (marketplace)

4. Pricing. (Money involved)

I wouldn't want to waste too much time here,


But know this,

as an Affiliate marketer,

your number one challenge will be PEOPLE a.k.a, Traffic or audience.

Let me break down these factors a little more.

• People

Note this, whatever business you are in, it is made for people.

The same goes for your product.

My mentor will always say, "money is not in places, it’s in people",

“Money isn’t made, it’s exchanged”.

A good Affiliate marketer must understand people,

and the inner workings of their
minds.

If you understand how people think, your marketing will become more successful.

The first thing to always have in mind is the PEOPLE.

Understand people, their behaviours,
decision-making ways, mindset, emotions and you’ll never lack money…

because you will never lack people

The easiest way to make money is to have a group of starving people, (an
audience),

and solve their problems.

Emphasis on STARVING.


Understand that people spend money to avert pain or stress rather than attain gains.

Reasons you hear sayings like “I can’t kill myself”,

because as humans,

we will instinctively not exert energy, be it mental or physical than you consider worth it.

Hence a stress and pain prevention system is inherent in people,

that’s why you procrastinate, gain weight, get easily distracted.

If you have a product that solves people’s problems,

makes their lives stress-free

or helps them achieve gain,

they will gladly give you their money.

Affiliate marketing is the process by which an affiliate earns a commission for marketing another person's or company's products.

The affiliate simply searches for a product promotes that product and earns a piece of the profit from each sale they make.

If you have ever been to the market and a guy who
doesn’t look like he owns a shop approaches you to ask what you want to
buy,

he claims he has what you are looking for and proceeds to take you to his shop nearby,

On getting there, another person attends to you.

It appears that the guy was just the middleman.


He will get paid a commission–a percentage of the price of the product
you purchased.

This is to reward and incentivise him to bring more customers.

That’s affiliate marketing in its basic form.

Affiliate marketing simply means getting rewarded when a prospect
customer takes the desired action.

We can just say that,

an affiliate is a middleman or an agent that helps a company or a product creator reach a buyer

and sell more of the product without the company needing to spend money
on adverts.

Affiliate marketing can also be done online as well from the comfort of your home while pressing your phone.

It can be in form of clicking a link or,
downloading a file, filling a survey form, signing up on a website, or someone even mak-
ing a purchase.

However, the common thing is that all these processes are done online now and it makes it quite easy.

As it is now, you make money–commissions without even needing to
have your own product or service as an affiliate.

(Commissions are either a fixed amount
e.g. $15 for foreign companies, or 20% of the signup fee, etc.)

And you can do this from anywhere in the world, from the peace and tranquillity of your
home, office, etc.

As long as you are connected to the Internet, you can make money
from anywhere.

Whether you are a stay-at-home mom or dad, undergraduate, recently
finished NYSC, or simply looking to start a side hustle, affiliate marketing can become your
ultimate side income business.
