One of the most emotional things about building a business is watching it grow in ways you didn’t expect.
I’ve been silently transitioning and building . And if you’re currently building your agency, onboarding clients, managing a team, you’ll understand this.
Earlier this month, we hit our team capacity. And I knew We had to expand.
That decision was hard for me.
Because my team, we’ve been working together for over a year, two years. We already have the same culture, the same work rate, the same understanding.
There are never too many explanations needed. So the idea of bringing in new people wasn’t something I was rushing toward.
What I tried to do first was just… add more tasks. Give one person the work of three people. But at some point I had to be honest with myself, that was only ever going to lead to an overwhelmed cycle.
So 2 weeks ago, I made the decision. It was time to onboard new team members.
But I wanted to do it differently.
Instead of recruiting directly, I decided to go the route of training first, put people through an internship, and based on how they performed, offer them a full role on the team.
We sent out the application. We did the interviews. We filtered the list.
And today was one of the training sessions.
It was about getting them to understand what Tanum Creations is, Getting them to understand productivity, We even had a LinkedIn session with
But what made today emotional,
I didn’t have to take a single session.
My current team held it. They had their presentation slides. They anchored the session from beginning to end. Without me making one contribution.
That moment just really solidified the quality culture we are building.
Super weldoneee .o_ , so so proud of you!
