The Elephant and the Rope
When a man was walking past some elephants, he suddenly stopped. He noticed the elephants were not kept in cages or held by big chains. All that was holding them was a small rope tied to one of their legs.
The man was confused. These huge elephants could easily break the rope and run away, but they didn’t even try.
He asked the trainer, “Why don’t these elephants break the rope and escape?”
The trainer replied,
When they were very young and much smaller, we used the same rope to tie them. At that age they tried many times to break free but couldn’t. Over time they believed the rope was too strong. Now they are powerful enough to break it, but they still believe they can’t.
Moral:
Many people are like those elephants. They stop trying because of past failures, forgetting that they are now stronger than their doubts. 🧠🔥
