⚠️ TikTok opens the door to CFD advertising in METAP and CIS markets, but only through allowlisted, licensed accounts ⚠️
TikTok has confirmed a policy shift that changes the landscape for financial advertisers across the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, and Central Asia. Contracts for Differences (CFDs), previously a blanket-prohibited category on the platform, will become advertisable in a defined set of markets starting 16 July (tentative), pending TikTok’s final confirmation.
🌏 The markets covered: UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, South Africa, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
This is not a general opening of the category. TikTok is drawing a narrow, tightly controlled path, and the requirements reflect that:
❗️ 18+ targeting is mandatory on every campaign, with no exceptions and no flexibility on this parameter.
❗️ Advertisers must be allowlisted. It’s granted either directly by TikTok or through an official TikTok reseller.
❗️ A valid license is required, and it has to be current and verifiable, not a historical registration.
❗️ Accounts must run as Managed Accounts, not standard self-serve setups.
❗️ Geographic targeting is capped by licensing. An advertiser can only run ads into a specific market if they hold the license for that market. A UAE license, for example, does not clear the way for Saudi Arabia or Kuwait.
In practice, this means CFD advertisers without an allowlisting path and market-by-market license documentation won’t be able to launch when the window opens, regardless of budget or creatives.
💡 This is the exact gap Evido by Aitarget exists to close. As an official TikTok reseller, we handle allowlisting, managed account setup, and license verification as part of our core infrastructure work, not a side favor.
