Life Was Never Designed to Be Fair.
Growing up, we thought life was fair.
Because we were protected.
Shielded. Corrected gently.
So we believed in black and white.
Good and evil.
Action and equal reaction.
But life?
Life is grey.
A man in my estate โ newly promoted DSP, a good man by everyoneโs account โ died at 49.
Hit at 5 a.m. by a bike riding one way with no headlamp.
Celebration turned to burial in hours.
Three children. Already motherless.
Now fatherless.
So tell meโฆ how is life fair?
It isnโt.
And maybe it was never designed to be.
So make wise decisions.
Love loudly.
Prepare.
Pray if you believe.
Because tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Life is what Asa once called it:
Beautiful imperfection.
And the real question is not โIs life fair?โ
Itโs โWho will you choose to be inside its unfairness?โ
