WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HAND?
There Is The Story Of A Prophet Who Died Poor And Left A wife, 2 Children And A Lot Of Debt To Pay.
Now, that is not a good way to die!
Even if you can't leave any wealth for your family, at least don't leave them with debts to pay.
But this prophet, who happened to be one of prophet Elisha's followers left a massive debt to be paid.
And the creditors wanted his sons as slaves to pay the debt.
I can hear you say, Wahala!
And you are right.
So, the wife ran to Elisha.

But to cut the long story short, Elisha offered a simple solution to the money problems.
The prophet's wife had a bottle of oil in her house.
Prophet Elisha helped her multiply it and told her to sell it.
Now, here is the thing.
Wasn't that bottle of oil there before the poor prophet died in penury?
Of course, the bottle of oil or even more was there.
But the poor prophet died poor because:
(1) He didn't ASK FOR HELP (which his wife did)
(2) He didn't realize the VALUE of what he has in his house.
(3) And he didn't know HOW TO SELL.
I am saying this because I think what this chapter of the bible also teaches us is that you can have prophetic anointing and still be poor.
I know a lot of pastors who are poor.
They go to the mountain and fast and pray for 7 days straight.
But when they come back to the house, they don't even have enough money to buy food to break the fast.
On the other hand, there are other pastors who have both the anointing and the wisdom to make money.
(1) They read books and ask others for financial advice.
(2) They package what they have in a way that is useful for MANY people and even companies.
(3) And they know how to sell their solutions.
As a result, they are thriving when others are struggling.
They don't wait for their congregation to pay tithes or offering before they pay their bills.
But what about you too?
(1) Are you seeking help and reading books that help with your finances?
(2) Are you finding and packaging deals that you can offer to people in exchange for cash?
(3) Are you sharpening your selling skills?
If you are not doing any of these and you are hoping to find a bag of dollars that an angel dropped in your backyard, you are on a long thing.
If the angels didn't drop a bag of money for that poor anointed prophet, they most likely won't drop for you.
Just do what the prophets wife did instead.
WHICH IS:
(1) Seek Financial And Business Advice.
(2) Package And Find Deals That People Can Buy And Pay You.
(3) Sell Like Crazy.
