Talent Isn’t Enough!!!
My Instagram account got suspended around 8:45pm yesterday. Ironically, I didn’t even know until a client told me, because I honestly don’t use this space much.
I followed the process, got the first warning, ignored it, and eventually the account was permanently disabled. I immediately appealed and thankfully got the message: “You can use your account again.”
That moment made me think deeply about people who haven’t been as lucky — people who have been trying for months, even close to a year, to recover their accounts.
Now to something more personal.
Since the beginning of this year, work has been slow and things haven’t been very clear with some clients I worked with. The truth is, I was afraid of having difficult conversations. My job is supposed to make online marketing easier for people, not add frustration to their efforts.
But when things started heading in the wrong direction, instead of defending myself or explaining properly, I did the worst thing possible — I ran. I went quiet. I hid and stopped working.
Someone here reached out to me recently. She scolded me (rightfully so), but she also did something I didn’t expect — she gave me a series of gigs.
Her advice was simple:
“Reach out to the clients. Tell them what happened. Or at least give them a workable plan to fix the issue.”
But even then, I struggled to bring myself to do it.
Until tonight.
So if we have unfinished business — whether it’s a delayed project, a misunderstanding, or something that wasn’t handled properly — I sincerely apologize. I take responsibility for the silence and the delay.
I’ll be reaching out personally to sort things out and make things right where possible.
My goal is simple: resolve what needs to be resolved so we can all move forward peacefully.
Sometimes talent isn’t the problem — courage and communication are.
And I’m working on both.
