When God wants to bless your land with resources he gives in abundance.

God blessed Cross River State in their 18 LGAs with limestones, granites, cocoa, rubber, massive farmlands for yam and cassava cultivation that can feed the entire country.
A huge goldmine they have in agriculture!

That same God blessed Akwa Ibom State with over 1,000 crude oil wells and one of the largest gas deposits in Nigeria covering 14 out of the 31 local governments in the state.

But Cross River State isn't satisfied with everything God blessed it with and instead put eyes for many years on the crude oil in Akwa Ibom.

The fact that no single local government in Cross River State has crude oil in commercial quantities should tell them God didn't bless their land with crude oil.

There's no single multi national Oil company in the entire Cross River State.

But there are over 45 multi national and indigenous oil and gas companies doing business in Akwa Ibom State with the top ones being;
(1)ExxonMobil/Seplat Energy.
(2)Sterling Global.
(3)Savannah Energy.
(4) Sterling Petrochemical Plant and Fertilizer company.
(5).Universal Energy.
(6).Moni Pulo Exploration.
(7).Chevron
(8).Agip Exploration company Ltd.
(9)TotalELF Exploration Ltd.
(10)BUA Refinery.
(11) Black Rhino Exploration Ltd.
(12) Lekoil Company Ltd.
(13) Amalgamated Oil Company and Exploration Ltd.

Someone should tell Cross River State to leave Akwa Ibom alone.

They sued Akwa Ibom to the Supreme Court in 2004 and 2012 on this same case and on those two occasions they lost.

This is 2026 and Cross River State has started another round of assault on Akwa Ibom.
