That was the first day.
On the second day, God created the vast sky, stretching it wide above the earth.
On the third day, God gathered the waters together so dry land could appear.
He called the land Earth and the waters Seas.
Then He spoke again, and the earth began to grow plants, grass, trees, and fruits of every kind.
On the fourth day, God placed lights in the sky the sun to rule the day and the moon and stars to shine at night.
On the fifth day, God filled the seas with fish and the skies with birds.
Creatures of every kind began to swim and fly.
