I am a Chosen!
I am a Chosen!
I am a chosen!
You bus driver who are you?
In recent weeks, the Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement has been at the center of online controversy, with many netizens expressing skepticism about the movement's reported miracles and testimonies. While religious movements are often met with both enthusiasm and criticism, the CCRM's claims have sparked a particularly intense debate on social media to the extent that some content creators are now using it for their contents with the catch phrase : I am a chosen, I am a chosen, I am a chosen .... who are you🤣🤣🤣?
Skeptics have been vocal, challenging the authenticity of these testimonies. Many argue that the accounts are exaggerated or fabricated, pointing to a lack of verifiable evidence and questioning the plausibility of some claims. Social media platforms have been flooded with critical posts, memes, and videos dissecting and ridiculing the most outlandish stories, often highlighting inconsistencies or perceived absurdities. Personally, I know too well that in the realm of the supernatural, everything is possible.
Nevertheless, some of these impossibility sounds absurd or should I say to an ordinary man. For instance, I am still trying to understand how 3kg of gas will last a family for over 3months because of the apron used to wrap around it.
On the other hand, supporters of the movement argue that the skepticism often stems from a lack of understanding or a dismissive attitude towards spiritual experiences that defy conventional explanations. They believe that the movement’s testimonies are genuine expressions of faith and divine intervention, and that the focus should be on the positive impact the movement has had on many individuals’ lives. I think this makes sense, abi no be so?
Some also argue that personal testimonies, even if they seem improbable, are a fundamental part of many religious experiences and traditions. They point out that disbelief in miraculous claims is not new and has historically been part of the tension between faith and skepticism.
While these have continued to gain audience, the founder of the movement have maintained his composure without allowing himself to be dragged into a cyber war with the ever ready battalion of cyber armies.
This incidence took me back to memory lane about an incidence in a particular church where the senior pastor challenged the authenticity of a testifier in his church. Though it was later confirmed that the testifiers testimony was real.
If by the end of the day these testimonies are real, I think that what every Nigerian needs now is to become a chosen irrespective of their profession so that will faced with the biting economic situation, one can simply cry out, I am a chosen, I am a chosen, I am a chosen, ... who are you?
Well, I pray it wont get to the level where the principal will send a student home for fees and the student or a parent will look at the principal and say:
I am a chosen
I am a chosen
I am a chosen
Principal, who are you?
To you, do you think these testimonies are real?
I am a ch
