MY GROWTH SO FAR AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER

If I’m being honest, this journey didn’t start with confidence. It started with me, my phone, and a lot of “I hope this works.” No big equipment. No special setup. Just determination, plenty trial and error.

At the beginning, my designs didn’t come out fine. Most times I’d finish a design and still not feel satisfied. Sometimes, I felt I wasn’t doing enough. But I didn’t stop. I kept practicing. I kept learning. I kept showing up—even when I wasn’t fully confident. And slowly, things started to change. What used to take me hours became easier. What used to confuse me started making sense. I began to see improvement—not perfect, but progress.

Today, I can confidently say I create designs, work with clients, and even teach others. Not because I know it all…But because I didn’t give up on learning.

One thing this journey has taught me is this:
Growth is quiet. It happens in the small, consistent efforts nobody sees.

So if you’re just starting or feeling like you’re not good enough yet—keep going. You’re not behind. You’re growing.

Delivery time depends on the design, but most simple designs take 1 to 2 days.

Yes, you can. I allow 1 to 2 revisions to make sure you are satisfied with the final design.

4. What if I don’t have an idea of what I want?
No problem. I can help you with creative ideas based on your business and what you want to achieve.

SHOW DIFFERENT VARIETIES/OPTIONS

(Designers, stop killing yourself for clients)

Let me be honest with you as a graphic designer… You don’t have to create 2, 3, or 5 different designs just because a client wants “options.” Let’s ask ourselves the truth—
are they paying for all that extra work? Most times… NO. And that’s where many designers get it wrong. You end up stressing yourself,
overthinking, creating multiple concepts…
only for the client to still say, “Hmm… I don’t like any of them.”

Now your time is gone. Your energy is gone. And your creativity is drained. So what should you do instead? Create one strong, well-thought-out design. Something clean, intentional, and professional. Present it with confidence. Then set your boundary clearly: If you’d like additional concepts or completely different styles, that will come with an extra fee. Simple. No long talk. No pressure.

And if you still want to be flexible, you can offer minor variations— like changing colors, adjusting fonts, or small layout tweaks. That way, the client still has options… but you’re not overworking yourself for free.

Listen…
Being a designer is not just about creativity, it’s also about value and structure. If you don’t respect your work, clients won’t respect it either. Work smart. Set boundaries. And get paid for your creativity.

MY GRAPHIC DESIGN JOURNEY (THE PART I NEVER TOLD YOU 😅🎨)

A lot of people think I started from nothing…But let me tell you the real story. I actually had access to a laptop early on, but the problem was—I didn’t know which app to even use. I had the device, but no direction.

Even though I studied courses related to computers in school, I still didn’t have clarity.
After I graduated from the university, I decided to attend a computer school to learn a skill properly. That was where I was introduced to CorelDRAW. That moment? It changed everything.

Funny enough… this is the part that still makes me laugh. After finishing computer school, I didn’t immediately get a laptop again until years later. And when I finally did…
I didn’t even remember that CorelDRAW was all I needed to install (alongside a few other apps) to start designing again.

Meanwhile, CorelDRAW was actually my first design app on PC back in computer school! Life can be funny like that.

But here’s what I’ve learned from my journey:
✓Having tools is not enough—you need knowledge
✓Sometimes, what you need… you’ve already learned before
✓Growth is a process, not a straight line

Today, I design confidently, teach others, and help people start their own journey—even with just a smartphone.

Because I understand what it feels like to be confused, stuck, and unsure of where to start.
