Through her influence, a substantial number of ELOYI youths have secured some benefits. Her relentless support was instrumental in the success of our movement.

Queen Abigail who's happen to be the Deputy Director, is a woman of remarkable character—a genial and convivial personality who is as down-to-earth as he is dedicated to the service of humanity. Her compassion knows no bounds. Her transcends boundaries of religion and ethnicity, extending her kindness and dedication to all, whether Christian or Muslim.

We express our deepest gratitude to Queen Abigail for his tireless support and friendship. We are blessed to have such a steadfast partner, and we pray that the Almighty continues to grant her the desires of her heart. ON THE NATIONWIDE PROTEST

DATE: SUNDAY 4TH AUGUST 2024


My fellow Nigerians,

1. I speak to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of responsibility, aware of the turmoil and violent protests unleashed in some of our states.

2. Notably among the protesters were young Nigerians who desired a better and more progressive country where their dreams, hopes, and personal aspirations would be fulfilled.

3. I am especially pained by the loss of lives in Borno, Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna and other states, the destruction of public facilities in some states, and the wanton looting of supermarkets and shops, contrary to the promise of protest organisers that the protest would be peaceful across the country. The destruction of properties sets us back as a nation, as scarce resources will be again used to restore them.

4. I commiserate with the families and relations of those who have died in the protests. We must stop further bloodshed, violence and destruction.

5. As President of this country, I must ensure public order. In line with my constitutional oath to protect the lives and property of every citizen, our government will not stand idly by and allow a few with a clear political agenda to tear this nation apart.

6. Under the circumstances, I hereby enjoin protesters and the organisers to suspend any further protest and create room for dialogue, which I have always acceded to at the slightest opportunity. Nigeria requires all hands on deck and needs us all - regardless of age, party, tribe, religion or other divides, to work together in reshaping our destiny as a nation. To those who have taken undue advantage of this situation to threaten any section of this country, be warned: The law will catch up with you. There is no place for ethnic bigotry or such threats in the Nigeria we seek to build.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has informed graduates of Higher National Diploma (HND) to ensure they provide evidence of completing their one-year Industrial Training (IT).

Industrial training is a system whereby a student before graduating is sent to an industry or a training centre to have practical experience on the job.

According to NYSC, the IT clearance will form part of their documentation for NYSC mobilisation.

It said the new requirement is in addition to presenting their National Diploma (ND) and HND certificates or statements of results.

The NYSC emphasised that this measure aims to ensure all graduates meet the necessary criteria before commencing their service year.

Breaking News: President Tinubu Backs Peaceful Protests, Warns Against Violence

President Bola Tinubu has emphasized the importance of non-violence during protests, stating that while peaceful demonstrations are a fundamental aspect of democracy, no government will tolerate violent protests that lead to destruction of lives and property.

Receiving the Letter of Credence from the new US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Richard Mills Jr., at the Presidential Villa, President Tinubu acknowledged his own history of participating in protests throughout his political career. He stressed that peaceful protests are a legitimate way for citizens to express their grievances and that his administration is committed to protecting citizens' rights to peaceful assembly and expression.

The President expressed optimism about the continued partnership between Nigeria and the US, particularly in areas of democratic governance and institutional support. His remarks come as various groups plan nationwide protests against economic hardship, highlighting the need for peaceful and constructive engagement.

Tinubu Appoints Agara As New NDE Director-General

President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Mr Silas Ali Agara as the new Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

The Special Adviser on media and publicity to the president, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, made this known in a statement issued on Saturday July 13.

The statement added that “the president anticipates an overhaul of the NDE for optimal performance in designing and implementing programmes to combat mass unemployment.”

‘Generalizing Entire Community As Cheaters Over Actions Of Few Individuals Hurtful, Unfair’ -Stakeholder Writes Governor Sule

A stakeholder of Doma Local Government Area, Alhassan Adamu Hussaini, has described as hurtful and unfair the remarks of Governor Abdullahi Sule over recent distribution of the free fertilizers provided by the Federal Government for farmers in the Area.

The distribution of the fertilizers on Tuesday July 09, attracted widespread criticism from residents over alleged diversion of the products by government officials.

A total of 1,000 bags of fertilizer were allocated to the area, with each ward getting 100. Regrettably, some wards got less than 30 bags.

Some concerned residents also expressed their displeasure with Governor Sule over neglect and failure of the present administration to implement any life-impactful capital project in the area aimed at improving the standard of living.

This, however was taken to the Governor as insults. Reacting in a leaked voice recording, he described the residents as useless people and vowed never to visit the area again for any distribution.

“Why should anyone be bothered that I was insulted! If the people of Doma are cheaters like their leaders, they should go ahead and be insulting them.

“I’m not known with cheating. It’s because we don’t cheat, that’s why we took the items(fertilizers) to their leaders. And there I told them they were not helpful. Andoma was there, Chairman was there, Deputy Speaker and the Commissioner was there. I told them they were not helpful, they didn’t show the fear of God. I told them all.

“If its because of what I said that the people are insulting me, it shows they themselves are cheaters; that’s why they are cheating their relatives. I don’t care over their insults, they should keep insulting till the world ends.

“They have become useless people. Nothing will take me there again to distribute anything. I would rather go to where good people are to distrib
