✨ Rolls-Royce Phantom Dragon
A one-of-one Phantom Extended created for the Year of the Dragon. Phantom Dragon is Rolls-Royce as poetry in motion: bespoke craft meets East-Asian symbolism. Commissioned and curated by the Private Office in Shanghai, the car reinterprets the ancient legend of two dragons and a pearl. 🐉🏮
A tale of generosity, balance and protection through veneer, stitch, light and lacquer.
The Gallery is the heart: a floating marquetry dragon made from 297 hand-cut pieces across four wood species, assembled over three months to create a smoke-borne effect. The pearl is embodied by a bespoke clock, while the Bespoke Starlight Headliner renders the dragons’ celestial dance with 768 red and 576 white fibre-optic lights and 24 shooting ‘stars’ 🌌✨.
The interior pairs high-gloss Smoked Eucalyptus, Ardent Red and black leathers, and the client’s family name embroidered in ancient Chinese calligraphy, all framed by a shimmering Iced Diamond Black exterior finish.
Phantom Dragon is a singular statement of artistry that marks both the Lunar Year and the Phantom centenary. 🐉🎨
