3 SIMPLE REASONS WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING FROM YOU

Over the past few months, I've seen a lot of business persons and online marketers struggle to make sales online.

They complain that no one is buying from them.

It's either they're making little or no sales at all.

But the reasons why they're not making sales is as simple as ABC.

Follow me closely,

Let me tell you why

There are 3 simple reasons why most people are not buying from you

These 3 reasons are as follows;

1. They don't know you

2. They don't like you

3. They don't trust you

As simple as that,

This reason is not far fetched

People buy from those they know, like and trust.

Just think of a place you always go to buy something everyday or almost everyday, perhaps a physical shop. Chances are you know the seller, you like the seller and you trust him/her.

That's exactly how it is in the online world too.

People will buy from you when they know you, like you and trust you or have any benefit from you before.

It is very rare to see a random person come to your DM or go to your online store to place an order. Except he/she knows you, likes you and trust you.

People hardly buy from strangers.

They buy from those they know, like and trust.

Put yourself in the prospect's shoes for a moment... Imagine yourself seeing an ad on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram or anywhere else online.

It catches your attention and you click through, landing on a page of a total stranger, who is selling a product and asking for money.

You think to yourself,

“Who the heck is this guy and why should I listen to him? Why should I buy from him?”

That scenario is exactly why so many people visit a page selling something and then leave without buying...

It is simply because...

They don't know you

They don't like you

They don't trust you

This is because there are a lot of crooks/scams out there ready to rip off their money with little or no value.

So how do you want them to differentiate you from the crooks?

Of course there are people online who buy on their first visit/contact with a seller.

But that's only about 3% of the potential buyers. What about the remaining 97% ?

You are leaving a lot of money on the table.

The key to making more sales is building your KLT factor.

K – Know
L – Like
T – Trust

People are more likely to buy from those they know, like and trust.

It is your duty as a business person or marketer to take your potential customers through a process where they will know you, like you, trust you and be willing to buy from you.

7 SIMPLE REASONS WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING FROM YOU

Over the past few weeks, I've gotten a lot of complains from business persons & online marketers;

"Hello sir, customers are not buying from me and I don't know why,"

"Good day sir, I'm not making enough sales. Please what am I doing wrongly?"

"Sir please what can I do to increase my sales? It seems I'm making mistakes when selling"

And so on and so forth...

There are many reasons why people are not buying from you.
But what are these reasons exactly? Well it varies...

So today I'll be revealing 7 simple reasons why people are not buying from you (even if...)

Without wasting too much time, let's get straight into it, shall we?

1) You don't know how to sell.
You will struggle in sales if you don't know how to sell.
You see, "selling is an art that must be mastered."
That's right! You need to master how to sell.

2) Even if you do know how to sell, You are selling to the wrong people. They are not your potential customers. You need to be able to identify and find people that need your product/service.

3) Even if they are your potential customers, They don't see you as an expert or authority.
Nobody wants to hand over his/her money to people who are not sure of the business they're into.

To be able to sell to people, you need to be seen as an authority or expert, because you are dealing with people who are skeptical.

4) Even if they see you as an expert/authority, They have not benefited from you in anyway before. They have not received some valuable stuffs from you before all for free.
Customers are more likely to buy from those they've benefited from before.

5) Even if they've benefited from you before, They still need a good reason why they should buy your product/service.
Therefore it is your duty as a business or sales person to remind your customers of their pains and then position your product/service as the solution.

You should understand that people don't just buy products, they buy solutions to their problems.

6) Even if your product will solve their problem, You still need to give them good reasons why they should buy your product and not the product of your competitors.
What makes your product stand out from others?
What are the benefits, results or outcomes that your customers will enjoy from buying your product that they would not enjoy from buying the product of your competitors?

7) Even if they will finally buy your product, You need to give them good reasons why they should buy it now and not tomorrow, not next week or next month.
Why they should pay money into your account now, today without wasting too much time and procrastinating.

You need to create a sense of urgency and scarcity (FOMO; fear of missing out) if not they'll keep telling you; I'll get back to you, I'll get back to you and then they'll disappear just like that.

You need to create your FOMO factor so they'll be planning on paying for your product/service today and not tomorrow.

So there you have it,

There are 3 groups of people who will buy anything from you online;

1) COLD prospects: These are people who are seeing you and your product/service for the first time ever.

These are the most difficult people to sell to. And this is because they don't know you, they don't trust you, and they don't like you.

2) WARM prospects: These are people who have heard about you. They know you and although they might not have done business with you before.

They are easy to sell to, because they have some measure of trust in your ability to deliver.

3) HOT prospects: These are people who have bought from you before and loved the experience. They know you, they like you and they trust you.
They can’t wait to consume anything you put out as long as it meets their interests.

People buy based on emotion, then justify with logic

People are driven by emotions while buying certain products or service.

They don't bother to make intelligent or right decision. They are generally carried away by emotions.

Emotionally, people develop a sort of affection towards a product and of course they end up buying it.

Never underestimate the importance and power of emotions in selling.

Emotions are the fuel that drives people to buy.

Logic makes them think. Emotion makes them act.

Why should you consider starting an online business?

The economy in Nigeria is very tight. Majority of the people in the country are struggling to make ends meet. Once they take care of feeding, rents and fees, they are broke till the next payday.

Online businesses can help you increase your income so you can live a better life. If you are earning N100k a month and you make additional N100k a month from online businesses, that is N200k. It will go a long way to help your finances.

There are many potentials with online businesses. Because there are so many people on the internet, more than anywhere else in the world, the opportunities available online is enormous.

Why you should learn a digital business in 2021
I want to enlighten my audience why we should have a side digital business in 2021 aside our physical job.

Why? So as to prepare ahead for the future...

The covid 19 pandemic is an eye opener for everyone.

Most of the available digital businesses like blogging, affiliate marketing, drop shipping, information products marketing, real estate marketing, e-commerce, freelancing, online trading, social media marketing etc can be done as a side hustle. It doesn't require a 24/7 operation.

You can get it set up at your own comfort. But then, it requires you to dedicate some hours daily at your disposal.

This is why I would encourage anyone reading this to learn and dedicate time on digital businesses.
