DON'T LOWER YOUR PRICE

I decided to price my training at ₦19, 800 instead of ₦1,000
And honestly, I'm beginning to see the beauty in that.

As business owners, we sometimes believe that lowering our prices automatically means more customers.

Not always.

Sometimes, lowering your price can actually communicate something you never intended.

Maybe this product isn't that good.

Think about it.

If you see two products offering almost the same thing, but one is ridiculously cheaper, wouldn't you at least wonder why?

In fact, if you are in the online space, RIDICULOUS LOW PRICES COULD SIGNAL YOU AS A SCAMMER

Price is not just a number.

Price also communicates value, positioning and quality.

When you constantly slash your prices just to attract customers, you may end up attracting people who are only interested because it's cheap, not because they truly value what you offer.

And worse, you might chase away the very customers who would have gladly paid your original price.

This doesn't mean you should overprice your products.

It means you should know the value of what you're offering and price it ACCORDINGLY

Don't be afraid of having fewer customers if those customers are the right customers.

I could have gotten 198 students who would be unserious, and stress me out with their queries, before I could make ₦198,000 from my classes, but I made this same amount with just 10 very effective team. I avail myself to support them whenever they are in my inbox and everyone is getting value for the money they paid.

So before you reduce your price, ask yourself.

Am I lowering this price because my market truly cannot afford it, or because I'm afraid nobody will buy?

There's a difference.

Sometimes, the solution isn't to lower your price.

The solution is to communicate your value better.

Don't lower your price simply because you're afraid of being rejected.

Build the value.

Communicate the value.

Stand by the value.

And let the right customers find you.

TODAY, I CELEBRATE MORE THAN A BIRTHDAY. I CELEBRATE A JOURNEY.

This past year has been one of the most defining seasons of my life.

A season of strength.
A season of career shifts.
A season of growth.
A season of courage.
A season of womanhood.
A season of faith.

In December, I lost my major full-time media buying job, but I really needed to lose that Job so that I can reinvent the Lion within.

It wasn't easy.

After years of building my career in digital marketing and media buying, suddenly finding myself without that stability forced me to ask some difficult questions.

What next?

Where do I go from here?

But what looked like a setback became the beginning of something new.

This may sound off, I know. 😂 But In January, I went back to finish my tailoring apprenticeship, and from January to July, I became a student again.

Answering someone I am a lot older than "ma" A lot of humility was needed here!

This would have been hard for someone with records of having headed departments of employees in different organizations ( but True leadership is found in character, in the inbuilt character of your person, Achievements makes one more humble and not less).

After years in the digital space, I went back to learning with my hands, my fingers

Cutting.
Measuring.
Sewing.
Making mistakes.
Learning again.

It was a major career shift, but it taught me something important:

Starting again does not mean you have failed.

Sometimes, starting again is an act of courage.

While learning fashion design, I took up AI automation.

I started exploring AI, n8n, workflows and automation, challenging myself to understand the technology shaping the future of business.

Then I decided to return fully to something I already knew I was good at.

Digital marketing.

I started rebuilding my personal brand as a digital marketing professional.

But this time, I wasn't hiding behind a company or a job title.

I was stepping out as myself.

Organizations began reaching out with digital marketing partnership opportunities — opportunities I had always turned down.

This time, I chose courage.

I started saying YES.

Yes to partnerships.
Yes to opportunities.
Yes to putting my expertise out there.
Yes to trusting the value of the experience I have built over the years.

And today, on my birthday, I am beginning another beautiful chapter.

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF MY 30 DAYS LIVE TRAINING IN DIGITAL MARKETING/ MEDIA BUYING.

What better way to celebrate a new year than by sharing knowledge, teaching what I know and helping other people build skills that can change their careers and businesses?

Looking back, I realise this year wasn't really about losing a job.

It was about discovering that my career does not have to follow one straight path.

I can learn fashion.

I can learn AI.

I can build businesses.

I can accept partnerships.

I can teach.

I can create.

I can reinvent myself.

I can be many things and still be completely myself.

And now, as I step into this new year, I am not coming quietly.

I have plans.

Big ones.

This coming year, I am storming out with my fashion brand.

Not as a side thought.

Not as something I will keep postponing.

I am coming out fully.

And my marketing agency?

I am going all out.

Bigger vision.
Bigger ex*****on.
Bigger partnerships.
Bigger impact.

I have spent years learning, working, experimenting, making mistakes, building skills and understanding the Nigerian market.

Now I want to build with everything I have learned.

This is the year I stop playing small.

The year I give my ideas room to breathe.

The year I turn skills into systems, creativity into products and experience into businesses.

The year of building.

The year of visibility.

The year of courage.

The year of expansion.

And through it all, I know I will still be learning, because growth never really ends.

My faith remains my anchor.

There were moments I didn't understand what God was doing.

But today, I can look back and see that some endings were simply redirections.

So today, I celebrate the woman who lost a job but didn't lose herself.

The woman who went back to apprenticeship.

The woman who embraced AI.

The woman who rebuilt her brand.

The woman who started saying YES to opportunities.

The woman who is teaching again.

The woman who is building again.

The woman who is finally ready to take up space.

Happy birthday to me.

I am grateful for every lesson.
Grateful for every closed door.
Grateful for every opportunity.
Grateful for every reinvention.
Grateful for every new beginning.

Most importantly, I am grateful to God for the grace to keep going.

This new chapter will be different.

Bolder.
Braver.
More intentional.
More visible.
More audacious.

I have come too far to play small now.

Happy birthday to me.

The next chapter?

WE BUILD. WE GROW. WE GO ALL OUT. ❤️

I've never sold anything offline before.
Can I still become a good digital marketer or media buyer?

Absolutely.

Offline sales and digital marketing are connected, but they are not the same thing.

You don't have to be the person walking from shop to shop convincing people to buy before you can understand how to attract customers online.

Digital marketing requires a different set of skills. Understanding your audience, creating the right message, testing creatives, analysing data, optimising campaigns and knowing what makes people take action.

That said, having some understanding of real-world sales can make you a better marketer because it helps you understand customer objections, buying behaviour and what happens between interest and purchase.

But if you've never sold offline, don't let that stop you from learning media buying.

You can learn the psychology of selling.

You can study customer behaviour.

You can run campaigns, analyse the data and learn from actual results.

At the end of the day, marketing is about understanding people and getting them to take action.

And that can be learned both online and offline.
