The stakeholders and members of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), in Oraukwu and Eziowelle communities, Idemili North LGA, on Tuesday 19th May, 2026, adopted frontline APGA Aspirant for House of Representatives, Idemili North/South Constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu(Onyechimelu'eze), as consensus candidate ahead of 2027 general elections.

The decisions were taken during his ward tour to the two communities. The motion were moved by President General of the towns and seconded by critical stakeholders, which received wide support from party members.

Speaking during the event, Chief Iyiegbu appreciated them for their unity and political maturity, describing their decisions as a necessary step to attract federal presence in the communities.

May 23rd APGA's Reps Primary Election: Abatete Receives Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike Cubana), Throws Weight Behind Him, Rallies Support

The members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Abatete today, Tuesday, 19th May, 2026, trooped out en masse to receive the frontline House of Representatives Aspirant for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Onyechimelu'eze), even as they unanimously expressed their support behind his aspiration.

The stakeholders and party members who threw their weight behind Chief Iyiegbu promised to queue behind him come May 23rd 2026 to ensure that he emerge as the flag bearer of APGA, adding that they would also rally round him in the general elections.

Obosi Ward Endorse Frontline APGA Aspirant, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu For Reps Seat

The stakeholders and members of All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), in Obosi ward on Sunday 17th May, 2026, unalloyed endorsed Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu(Onyechimelu'eze), who is the frontline APGA aspirant for House of Representatives, Idemili North/South Federal Constituency.

The endorsement, which came ahead of the party's primary elections, was described by the residents as a collective decision rooted in confidence in his capacity to deliver effective and development-oriented representation for Idemili North/South Federal Constituency.

Speaking in Obosi Town hall, the President General of Obosi community, ably represented by Mr Onyeka Abanobi noted that the endorsement followed what they described as a structured assessment of aspirants based on competence, policy clarity, community engagement, and acceptability among constituents.

He stated that the federal constituency requires a representative with a clear understanding of its socio-economic challenges and the ability to translate legislative opportunities into tangible development, particularly in enterprise growth, and youth empowerment.
