Yesterday, in company of Chief AA Aniagu, (Ezeaputa Umuoji) we had a fruitful consultation and conversation with Chief Omezie Chukwurah, governor Obosi (Oshaa) and some ndi ichie at his residence at Little Woods estate, Obosi kingdom.

Our discussions centred more on the unity of APGA in ldemili North & South Federal Constituency ahead of forthcoming 2027 House of Representatives election.

Together, with unity, commitment, and a shared vision, we will continue to build a stronger and more prosperous ldemili Federal Constituency.

On Saturday, 18th July 2026, I joined the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, and the Mayor of Idemili North, Chief Stanley Nkwoka as Mr Governor unveiled the statue of the legendary literary icon, Professor Chinua Achebe, at Ugwu Nwasike Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Governor Soludo is a visionary and sagacious leader with sterling character who recognizes and honours the heroes and heroines whose contributions have shaped the greatness of Anambra State and Nigeria as a whole.

Professor Chinua Achebe remains the father of modern African literature. Through his timeless works, he challenged stereotypes about Africa by presenting authentic African experiences, values, histories, political systems, religions, customs, languages, and moral traditions that flourished long before European colonization.

The unveiling of this magnificent monument will forever preserve and celebrate his enduring legacy. It will continue to inspire present and future generations, reminding the world of the greatness that Professor Chinua Achebe represents in our society and beyond.

Nwafor Ogidi Festival: APGA House Of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Ikenna Iyiegbu Congratulates Igwe Onyido, Residents

The House of Representatives candidate for All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), Idemili North/South Federal Constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Onyechimelu'eze), has congratulated the traditional ruler of Ogidi kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Pharm.) Alex Uzo Onyido (Ezechuamagha 1), and the good people of Ogidi on the occasion of 2026 celebration of Nwafor Ogidi festival which starts today.

Chief Iyiegbu in a congratulatory message made available to his media office described the festival as a significant cultural event in the community which is characterized by various cultural displays.
