I checked one of my Ad Accounts this morning.

This particular Ad Account, a total of ₦670k+ has been spent on the Ad Account this year on different Ads.

Ads on this Ad Account has reached over 1.3 million people this year.

The number of people that will see your Ad depends on how much you are willing to spend on the Advert.

With 1.3 million reach, even 0.1% sale will give you 1,300 sales

If you product is ₦2,000, that's ₦2.6million in revenue.

I don't know what your current capability is, but if you are not advertising your business, you are not yet serious enough with that business.

It is not a MUST to verify your Ad Account before running Adverts.

You should try to verify your Ad Accounts. I would advise that you do so.

But, it's not a MUST that you verify your Ad Account FIRST before running Adverts.

3. Your page is a turn off

The page you are using to run your advert has a lot of influence on how people will react to your advert.

Your page name and posts on the page has to correlate with your Advert.

Your page name shouldn't say "Dolapo Kitchen Utensils" and you are advertising "shoes and bags" on that same page.

You can change business or have multiple businesses, but that means having multiple pages also, with suitable contents on each page.

Personally, I do not click on the action button on an Advert, until I have gone through the contents on the page first.

Your Display picture, Cover Picture, Action Button etc has to be well placed and easily accessible.

Most of those who will come across your advert has no knowledge of you before.

Your page will introduce you to them.

If they are not convinced by what they see, they won't come to you.

2. Budget and Duration

One of the things that has direct impact on how good your Advert will perform, is the Budget and Duration of the advert.

All things being equal, an Advert with ₦10,000 budget will perform better than one with ₦5,000 budget.

The Duration of the advert also allows for compounding effects.

Many people who complain about the results of their Adverts, switched off the advert or set it to end at the time it's supposed to start getting results.

It could take 24-48 hours before your target audience starts responding to your advert.

Unfortunately, many people switch off or end their Adverts before this time

There are ways to judge an Advert early though, but the best thing is to allow it run for at least 5 days on a good budget.

1. You don't know your Target Audience

Before you start setting up your Advert, the first thing you need to do is to create research your target audience.

WHO will buy this?

Age, Gender, Location, Interests.

What will make people buy this product?

Where will they need it?

Which age range would want this product?

Take a piece of paper and write out as much as possible about those that will need your product.

What you are doing is creating your customer avatar.

You are creating a picture of your target customers.

One thing that can help you in this, is to look at those who have bought from you before and find the things they have in common.

Without doing this, you may not know your Target Audience and not knowing this will affect your ability to target the right audience with your advert

Without the right targeting, your Advert will not get good results.
