My first outreach experience🤗
That morning, I woke up early with this strong feeling that, yes, I was prepared for this. Like I prepared so well for this outreach. So when I woke up in the morning, I was excited.😊
I went for the outreach. On getting there, I saw a crowd. People were there. So we started the work.
Along the line, there was this colleague, a lady I met. She's a doctor too. She's practicing already. She was like, “Judy, you have to take it slow with these people. Don't put pressure on yourself. Do the one you can do and don't overstress yourself because you can't satisfy all these people.”
For my mind, I was like, “Come on, like, we have enough. Like, people still here. We have to attend to them.”
I wasn’t trying to prove to anybody that I can do it. I was just trying to make everybody happy.
Along the line, I became exhausted. I was tired. I was so, so tired.
The lady, she wasn't doing much. Sometimes she will rest ,she will go out and eat, she will come back. But I couldn't. I was just trying to make everyone happy.
At the end of the day, I was so tired. God! Ah!😥🥺
You know the worst, but it was a two-day program .So I still have another day to come back for this.
At the end of the day, I told her, Ma, I won’t come early tomorrow. I'll come late because I'm tired. I need to rest.🥹
That day, I discovered that, you can't please everyone. You just have to do your work and allow the others to do the rest .🤗
