Sometimes, a name is more than a name.

It can represent years of sacrifice, sleepless nights, failures, risks, achievements, responsibility, and the journey that brought someone to where they are today.

The recent exchange between Tony Elumelu and a young trainee has generated different opinions. Some see it as a question of corporate culture. Others see it as a matter of respect and proper etiquette.

But beyond the debate, there is a lesson for all of us:

Learn to read the room.
