How I Found My Voice Through Design

It all started with a clunky old phone and a whole lot of curiosity.
I still remember my very first flyer designed using canva template, of all things. It was rough, chaotic and honestly, beautiful in its own strange way. To me, it was magic.

Then came Canva Pro Then Photoshop. And suddenly, things started to click, fonts, color palettes, grids. I was hooked. I spent late nights watching YouTube tutorials, reworking failed projects, and whispering to myself, How did they make that look so clean?

My first paid job? A ₦1,500 logo. I treated it like it belonged on a billboard in Times Square. The client was thrilled. And me? I felt unstoppable. That spark lit the fire, and Tikielz Creative Studios was born.

Since then, I’ve worked with brands in fashion, real estate, beauty, tech, every project stretching me, teaching me, making me better.

Today, I don’t just design, I tell stories.
I shape identities. I help brands see themselves in ways they haven’t before.

And the best part?
I’m only just getting started.
And I know that this journey will soon become a life changing journey and all the effort will yield fruits soonest.

From Sallah Plate to Design Greatness.
T**i Kiddies Couture Story.

So early this morning I was holding my plate full of Sallah rice, meat stacked like a mountain, ready to feast in peace. Just as I took my first bite, boom, a message dropped into my WhatsApp inbox.

"Hi, Tikielz I need a fresh, eye-catching brand design for T**I KIDDIES COUTURE.”

I paused, looked at my meat, then at the message.
The meat said, “later.” The designer in me said, “Let’s go boss"

From logos to color palette, flyer layout to kid-friendly vibes, I turned T**i’s vision into something clean, vibrant, and playful, exactly what her brand needed.

When I finally delivered, this was her reaction 👇👇

"Ah! This is too beautiful and clean, I didn’t even expect this much"

Now Mission accomplished.

From Idea to “Wow!” – The SmartCast Design Story.

Early this morning about 6:am sharp, SmartCast hit me up with a mission:
"Bro, I need visuals that are clean, sharp, and make money move.

Challenge accepted. 😎

I jump up from my bed straight to the office to commence the work immediately.
From logo design to brand identity, I got to work, crafting visuals that didn’t just look good, but felt like success.
I dug deep into his vision, sprinkled in some Tikielz magic, and designed like my Wi-Fi bill depended on it.

When I finally sent over the final designs, SmartCast didn’t just say thank you, he screamed, laughed, and dropped the golden words:
"You finished work! This is mad o".

That right there, that moment of pure excitement, is why I love what I do. Seeing ideas turn into reality, watching clients light up when they get more than they imagined.

CREATIVITY ISN'T MAGIC - IT'S HARD WORK.

People love to say, “Wow, you’re so creative!” like it’s some mystical superpower. But let’s be real, creativity isn’t magic. It’s muscle.
And like any muscle, it only gets stronger when you put in the work.

The world imagines creatives lounging under palm trees, sipping juice, waiting for inspiration to strike. Reality? It’s late nights, endless drafts, and that frustrating moment when you scrap everything and start over. Creativity isn’t just about having ideas, it’s about showing up, day after day, even when nothing flows.

People see the polished logo, the viral video, the striking design. But what they don’t see? The numerous failed versions, The doubt, The coffee-fueled breakdowns, The “this still isn’t right” moments.

Being creative means pushing through.
Trying when your brain feels empty.
Tweaking when you just want to be done.
Trusting the process when everything feels stuck.
