One thing that changed my Upwork proposals completely?

I stopped making it about me.

A lot of freelancers start proposals with:
“Hi, my name is
”
“I’m passionate about
”

But clients are not really looking for passion speeches 😭

They just want to know:
“Do you understand my problem?”
“And can you solve it?”

The moment I started focusing on the client’s pain point first, my response rate improved massively.

One thing I had to learn the hard way as a freelancer is this:

Confused people don’t hire.

There was a time my profile was all over the place. I was talking about too many things at once and clients couldn’t clearly understand the value I brought.

And honestly? That affected my ability to get clients.
