Jack had always dreamed of starting his own business. After years of working for others, he finally saved up enough money to open a small café in the heart of the city. He was determined to make it a success.
In the beginning, everything seemed to be going well. Jack was hands-on with every aspect of the business - from managing the staff to overseeing the finances. He even took pride in personally greeting each customer that walked through the door.
However, as the business started to grow, Jack became lax in his approach. He started showing up late to work, sometimes not even showing up at all. He delegated more tasks to his employees, but failed to provide proper training or oversight.
The staff quickly picked up on Jack's indiscipline and began to slack off as well. They would come in late, take extended breaks, and sometimes even leave early without permission. The quality of the food and service began to suffer, and customers started to complain.
