WHAT DO I DO NOW THAT I HAVE SIGNED UP AS AN AFFILIATE
This is a question that a lot of new affiliates have, and I believe they could use some guidance on where to begin. As a result, I am going to provide a step-by-step, straight-to-the-point approach to this.
So, first things first...
1. Choose a product to promote: There are several factors to consider here, including current trends, feedback from other affiliates, and your personal belief in a product. However, the very first step is to choose a product to promote.
But that's not all...
Your existing audience could also determine your choice of product. Think of what your audience might be interested in. For example, you don't have to choose a product for weight loss if a substantial number of your audience are pregnant women.
And here's why...
They'll be more interested in childbirth than losing weight. So if you could choose a product for how to avoid va**na tear injury during childbirth, chances are that you'll make more sales to them.
2. Pick a platform to promote the product on: You can promote the product on Facebook or WhatsApp. You can also promote the product on a variety of other social media channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc. But, in my opinion, you should begin with the one that you are quite familiar with.
I am guessing it's WhatsApp. So how do you do this? Via your status. Via a broadcast list. Via group training.
Promote like mad using any of these means. Daily you've got to make offers on your status. Daily you've got to promote what you're selling.
Do not be ashamed.
Offer people to buy your product.
Highlight the benefits of your product to them.
And tell them you're confident that they'll get all the benefits.
3. Create your sales process: This is where you'll decide whether to use paid or organic traffic. Paid traffic simply implies you'll be running Facebook/IG ads to market a product, whereas organic traffic means you won't be paying to promote a product on any platform.
But I'll be honest with you...
Organic traffic does not always produce a consistent result for everyone. At some point, you'll be needing more people to keep your sales pouring in. And this is where running sponsored ads become necessary.
And that's just the beginning...
Why?
Because traffic is the lifeblood of this business.
However, it is always advisable you start with organic traffic and work your way up to sponsored ads over time.
There's one more thing I need to tell you...
You need organic traffic to gather proofs that your product works. Don't also forget to request feedback. Very, very important.
Here's why...
Nigerians love those who can provide testimonials. And the best part? You can use the positive feedback to reach a broader audience and hope for a great result.
4. Figure out what each step in your process entails. For example, if you're running Facebook Ads, you'll need to create an online page. This will enable you to be able to run sponsored ads and establish a brand identity.
You'll also need to write down everything that happens during your sales process at this point. So that you can figure out what you need to do in terms of product promotion.
