Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM (VeryDarkMan), has sparked widespread reactions online after criticizing President Bola Ahmed Tinubuâs administration over the state of the nation.
In a viral video circulating on social media, VDM stated that âonly fools will vote President Bola Tinubu in 2027,â accusing the current administration of failing Nigerians despite promises of economic recovery and national development.
The outspoken activist alleged that the government âcame to steal, kĂŻll and destroy Nigeria,â citing growing insecurity, foreign loans, rising hardship, political corruption, and the continued suffering of ordinary citizens across the country.
VDM also questioned the transparency surrounding the removal of fuel subsidy, arguing that Nigerians were promised improvements in infrastructure, security, healthcare, and the economy, yet citizens continue to face soaring inflation, unemployment, and increased cost of living.
According to him, many Nigerians are frustrated by worsening insecurity, kidnappings, and economic instability, while public officials continue to live lavish lifestyles despite the nationâs challenges.
His comments have since generated massive debate online, with supporters agreeing that the government must be held accountable, while critics described the statement as too harsh and politically charged.
