DIGITAL JUSTINE COMPUTER INSTITUTE DISBURSES ONE MILLION NAIRA TO GRADUANDS
In a remarkable demonstration of its commitment to youth empowerment and skills development, Digital Justine Computer Institute has disbursed a total of One Million Naira to its graduating students during the 7th Convocation and Matriculation Ceremony.
The historic event, held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the institute’s campus located at No. 26 Ibiam Street, Uyo, was a moment of joy, pride, and celebration for students, parents, and invited dignitaries.
In his opening remarks, the Registrar of the Institute, Akparawa Amb. Idorenyin Udoh, warmly welcomed all guests, graduands, and newly matriculated students. He emphasized that the empowerment initiative was designed to support students beyond the classroom, encouraging them to apply their vocational and ICT skills in real-world situations, establish small businesses, innovate, and advance in their chosen career paths.
Delivering goodwill messages, Prof. Aniekan Offiong, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), University of Uyo, Prof. Enoidem Usoro, Rector, Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre, and Comrade Nsibiet John, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, who was represented by the NUJ Secretary, Mr. Nsikak Esenowo, collectively charged the graduands and matriculating students to be worthy ambassadors of Digital Justine Computer Institute. They encouraged them to drive digital transformation through the practical application of their acquired skills.
They also commended the Founder and Rector, Amb. Justine Thompson, for his unwavering vision and commitment to job creation and youth empowerment through digital education.
Representing the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, the Dean, College of Supervisors, Obong Idara Akpan, applauded Amb. Justine for providing a conducive learning environment and for his contributions to human capacity development in Uyo. He highlighted that the ICT industry offers boundless opportunities for creativity and innovation, urging students to remain focused, solution-driven, and responsive to societal needs. He further announced his financial support to the institute and offered a free ICT training slot for one deserving student.
The Rector, Amb. Justine Thompson, expressed profound gratitude for the success of the event and reaffirmed the institute’s unwavering dedication to equipping students with relevant, practical, and income-generating digital skills.
“This empowerment programme continues to set Digital Justine Computer Institute apart as a leading skill-development hub, producing confident, capable, and financially supported graduates ready to make meaningful impact,” Amb. Justine stated.
The ceremony drew the presence of UCCDA Chairman, Rt. Hon. Anietie Eka, KJW, distinguished guests, parents, staff members, and excited students, all gathered to celebrate academic excellence, innovation, and empowerment.
