Governor Umo Eno Steps Out to Inspect Major Projects Across Nsit Ubium and Eket
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure by personally inspecting several ongoing projects across Nsit Ubium and Eket Local Government Areas.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, the Governor embarked on another round of project inspections to assess the pace, quality, and standard of work at various construction sites. According to him, the exercise was necessary to ensure that the progress on the ground aligns with updates presented during the state’s recent Delivery Meeting.
Governor Umo Eno expressed satisfaction with the level of progress recorded but emphasized that there is still work to be done. He directed contractors handling the projects to intensify their efforts and ensure that every project is completed according to specification before the December 2026 deadline.
Among the projects inspected were the Ofriyo Road and Bridge, the General Hospital, the Model Primary School in Nsit Ubium, and the ongoing dualisation of the Ikot Imoh–Strabag Junction–Eket Road—all key infrastructure projects expected to improve transportation, healthcare, and education within the affected communities.
The Governor reiterated that his administration will continue to closely monitor every project, stressing that the people of Akwa Ibom deserve infrastructure that is not only completed on schedule but also built to the highest quality standards.
His hands-on approach to governance continues to reflect a leadership style focused on accountability, timely project delivery, and ensuring that government promises translate into tangible development for the people.
Akwa Ibom is moving forward—one inspected project, one completed promise, and one community at a time.
