Be With Somebody Who Wants to Enjoy Life.
“Be with somebody who wants to enjoy life.
I will explain, because ‘enjoy life’ is relative.
I’m not talking about what you are thinking. Look at this:
A lady came to me crying. She said she had just broken up with her boyfriend.
I asked her, ‘Why did you break up? Did he hit you?’
‘No.’
‘Did he cheat on you?’
‘No.’
‘Did he hurt you?’
‘No.’
I had to keep asking questions because she was wailing.
‘So, what did he do?’
She said, and I’m telling you, the girl was very frank, ‘PD, have you seen me? There is no way you can end up with me.’
So, I paused. I was thinking to myself, This is interesting.
What I was hearing was how her mind worked. She broke up with him because she felt he would eventually break up with her. So, she chose the certainty of heartbreak and rejected the uncertainty that he might not break up with her.
So I asked her, ‘Right now, are you heartbroken?’
She looked at me like, What kind of question is that?
I said, ‘Are you heartbroken?’
She said, ‘Yes, PD. I’m heartbroken.’
I said, ‘What are you trying to avoid?’
That was when it dawned on her. I knew it had dawned on her because of the look on her face. It was like her senses suddenly came back: Okay, I am heartbroken because I was afraid of being heartbroken.
She was afraid of love.
There are many people like that. They are so guarded. If you watch the way they love, you can tell they are holding back. They cannot immerse themselves in the relationship.
You see, I’ve seen people who woke up early in the morning, went to work, everything was normal, and never returned home.
And yet, this is the life you are holding onto so tightly?
Make life beautiful by enjoying the moments!
Even if it didn’t work out, at least I enjoyed the time I spent with you. I still gained something from it.
Instead of saying, ‘The relationship has ended. What if it had worked? Maybe it wouldn’t have ended if I had done this or that…’
Do you understand what I’m saying?
People don’t know how to enjoy love.
‘Will she stay?’
‘Is she with me because of my money?’
‘Will he leave me?’
Just enjoy! Enjoy life.
Life is a gift.
One day, you will enter heaven, and you won’t even be able to catch someone in a corner and say, ‘Psst!’
The Son of God is the Light there. You can’t say, ‘Psst!’ They will deport you straight to hellfire!
Your wife will be your sister there. No more toasting!
You will see a girl wearing a white gown, and your mind won’t even go there. You will just be worshipping.
So, now that you have the opportunity to love, live, laugh, and enjoy the moments, enjoy it!
