How To Close Deals and Increase Sales and Signups
You can learn the skills of closing sales and signups. You have to be dedicated, and with the right resources, you can become a too salesperson.
One of the challenges most of my client has is closing those leads. If you can't complete, getting you, a hundred qualified leads will not get you sales or signups.
Let's be sincere; the work of a digital marketer is to provide you with tools and strategies that will get you people interested in your products or services. And you have to be ready to interact with these people and plan strategies to close them when they come to you wanting to know more about your products.
Unless you have established a brand name like Jumia or Amazon, you must convince people to buy from you. And that's the essence of followupsfollowups and sales calls.
Understanding these challenges, we have come up with ways that can help you close leads.
1. Don't be a salesperson.
I know that you intend to make sales or signups. But people are tired of salespeople trying to sell them one good or the other. They will not see any value in the sales pitch other than from the salesperson making money.
Be a consultant, solve problems rather than make sales. Please get to know what people desire and tell them how your product or services will help those leads.
2. Sell Benefits and Not Features.
Leads will get bored when you try to tell them the features of your products or services. They don't want to know the name of the shareholders or how many branches the business had. These are of no immediate significance to them and their problem.
Rather sell solutions. Like "joining this program will help solve financial inadequacy", "the products are highly effective: check out testimonies", "you don't have to quit your daily job to change your financial status with our program", or "you can earn purchasing your daily needs from the company", "you don't have to bring people to start earning."
Please find out your unique selling point USP for the business and then use it to the need of your leads.
3. Create Urgency
Leads will have all the willingness to buy or signup, but without urgency, they may linger, and there go your leads.
Creating that need to take action immediately is vital. You don't want to force your leads or seem too arrogant to force the buy on your leads. But you can do this subtly using words like "limited offers", “5 Slots Available", or " first five people get discount'.
Let them know that the offer will not be available for long, and others are queuing up.
4. Focus on serious leads
This is a confusing aspect, especially when there is no parameter to determine serious leads. But from your conversation over time, you can evaluate the eagerness and who is more serious about the business.
Focus your strategy on these people to increase sales and signups. It can be frustrating dealing with unserious leads, which may affect how you relate with other leads. Thus when you notice a lead has gotten cold, shift focus to other leads.
5. Followups.
As a marketer, you have to be ready for the follow-up. Follow up is key to closing deals, for people don't usually sign or buy at the first contact. There are different ways to follow up: calls, WhatsApp, bulk SMS, email marketing etc. You must be good at one of them.
