šŸ‡³šŸ‡± Koningsdag: A Celebration of Connection, Culture & Team Spirit 🧔

A DAY THE NETHERLANDS TURNS ORANGE
Every year on April 27th, the Netherlands comes alive in the most vibrant way possible. Streets, canals, parks, everything turns orange.

Koningsdag (King’s Day) is more than just a national holiday. It’s a celebration of unity, joy, and togetherness. From canal parties in Amsterdam to local street markets and live music in every city, it’s a day where everyone is welcome and good vibes are guaranteed.

WHY KONINGSDAG IS THE ULTIMATE TEAM EXPERIENCE
Strong teams don’t just work together, they celebrate together.

Koningsdag is the perfect reminder that stepping out of the office, embracing culture, and having fun as a team builds stronger bonds, creates unforgettable memories, and boosts collaboration back at work.

Whether you’re new in the Netherlands or a local, experiencing Koningsdag with your team is a must. Rent a boat, wear orange, sing loud, dance freely and enjoy the magic of the day.

A LINKEDIN TIP: BUILD CONNECTIONS LIKE IT’S KINGSDAY
Koningsdag works because people are open, approachable, and genuinely interested in connecting. That’s exactly how LinkedIn should be used.

Instead of pitching right away:
• Start conversations with shared context
• Engage with content before sending a message
• Be human, not transactional

Connections grow when people feel seen, not sold to.

Let’s grow your network the same way we celebrate Koningsdag: open, energetic, and together.

That’s Magnetic Networking. Enjoy! šŸ‘‘

That moment when everything just clicks šŸ”„

One pass
One setup
And then… that insane finish

Not solo
Not forced
Just pure teamwork

And that’s the interesting part

The best moves?
They’re never done alone

It’s about:
→ timing
→ trust
→ playing together

Because when that flows…

Work gets better
Faster
Way more fun

And suddenly
you’re doing things
you couldn’t pull off alone

That’s where the magic is ✨

Curious…
Is your team already playing like this?

Look at this šŸ‘€

He runs.
Grabs the pole.
Climbs up.

Everything is moving.
Nothing is fully stable.

And still… he commits.

No hesitation.
No waiting.

And he makes it šŸŽÆ

That’s the moment.

Not when everything feels right…
but when you decide to go anyway.

Because that ā€œperfect momentā€?
It rarely shows up.

šŸ‘‰ The difference:

Some commit early.
Others keep waiting.

And the ones who move?
They figure it out along the way.

So be honest…
Are you waiting… or going for it? šŸš€

Dutch or English on LinkedIn?

Let’s be honest.

Half of LinkedIn in the Netherlands seems to write in English… while talking mostly to Dutch people.

So the question is: does that actually make sense?

I think about this quite often.

Dutch is my first language and about 80% of my clients are Dutch, so naturally I connect with them best in Dutch.

But around 20% of my audience is international.

If I post only in Dutch, I might miss opportunities.
If I post only in English, it feels a bit less natural.

So I do something simple.

I mix it.

About 80% of my posts are in Dutch and 20% in English.

Because people connect best in the language that feels natural to both sides.

And let’s not forget: LinkedIn has a translate button.
International readers can still follow along.

Fun fact: quite a few English words actually come from Dutch.
šŸŖ Cookie comes from koekje
šŸ—½ New York used to be Nieuw Amsterdam
šŸ‘‘ And boss comes from baas

So maybe we shouldn’t be too hesitant to post in Dutch.

So, which language do you use on LinkedIn and why?

Everything feels off… āš“ļø

The ship tilts.
Nothing is straight.

People can’t walk properly.
They slide… laugh… adjust šŸ˜„

It’s chaos.
But no one stops.

And that’s the point.

Not everything has to go as planned.

Sometimes things feel out of balance
while you’re still moving forward.

The ones who grow?

They don’t wait for everything to be perfect.
They adapt.
And keep going.

Because progress isn’t always clean.

Sometimes it feels messy…
right before it clicks

How do you react when things don’t go your way?

16/03/2026

Sometimes things look impossible… until someone tries ā›°ļø

At first this slope looks ridiculously steep.
Too steep
Too risky
Too crazy

Most people would turn around.

But someone decides to go for it.

Step by step the impossible suddenly becomes possible.

That’s often how growth works in entrepreneurship šŸš€

New markets
Bold ideas
Big opportunities

From the outside they often look ā€œtoo steepā€.

But the people who move forward fastest usually don’t wait for the perfect path.

They take the first step…
and figure out the rest along the way šŸ’”

What’s a ā€œsteep slopeā€ you decided to climb recently?
