Pretty! Teardrop-shaped urn by and presented by

„Handmade with precise detail and timeless form, Keith Jaques’ Teardrop urns offer an elegant keepsake that can be both proudly presented or integrated effortlessly into your home. Keith works with a variety of beautiful wood types, each showcasing their own distinctive colours and grain patterns.“

„Crafted to hold memory with beauty and strength, his Zebrano pieces offer a particularly striking pattern with each unique line, like a fingerprint, telling a story: of a life lived, of moments cherished, and the love that remains.“

..discover light in cremated remains

After her father’s sudden death from cancer, Mexican artist Gabriela Reyes Fuchs needed to find a way to grapple with the loss. She took his ashes, looked at them under a high powered microscope and found exactly what she was looking for. She discovered a luminous universe.

„Thanks to the images I saw, my grief, rather than sadness, turned into moments of contemplation, of reconnection, of certainties...“

With she now creates memorial pieces that reveal the hidden beauty in your loved one’s ashes.

„With just a small sample of your loved one’s ashes we take a photograph, an image as unique as each person, like a fingerprint. These images are carefully printed and sent back with the ashes of your loved ones. The photographs bring a sense of reconnection to each person who has chosen to be part of this new way of commemorating our loved ones.“

„We invite you to reconsider the meaning of loss through the beauty and contemplation of images taken from the ashes of your departed loved ones.“

〰️ I find this so touching and magical. What do you think?

Lucila Rodarte lives in Guadalajara, Mexico. She „refers to her work as a sort of emotional crisis “pachorruda”, a combination of the paradox and almost comedic daily routine. She develops and explores the craft of ceramics, working on pieces and projects of her own through text, engraving and/or volume.“

Rodarte „captures pithy emotion in SMS-like messages, painted in words and images: time-capsules where the memory is the capsule itself.“
