LinkedIn Premium: worth it or money down the drain?

We get this question all the time and the honest answer is: it depends.

If you’re building your personal brand, hiring, or job hunting, Premium can give you an edge. Here are our top 3 reasons to consider it:

✅ See who’s viewed your profile
✅ Unlimited people browsing and access to more filters
✅ Message people outside your network with InMail

But if you don’t use those features consistently (or don’t know how to), it's just an expensive gold badge.

So yes, Premium can be worth it. But - only - if - you - actually - know - how - to - work - it.

In case you were wondering:

There wasn't a LinkedIn data breach - no private member account data from LinkedIn was included.

It included publicly viewable member profile data that was scraped from LinkedIn.

Here are a few of my LinkedIn Social Selling tips:

✔️ Always review the LinkedIn profile of your prospect.
✔️ Only write ᴘᴇʀꜱᴏɴᴀʟɪᴢᴇᴅ InMails / Invitations / Messages.
✔️ Mention their profile content in your message. (What did you find interesting about their profile?)
✔️Save the selling for later, start a conversation instead. (Give them a reason to reply, including some sort of ask.)

This new tool lets you “personalize your first hello” with a video message for your audience.

# Creator Mode
Creator mode allows you to identify hashtags that highlight the topics you post about the most.

🖼 LinkedIn Profile Backgrounds
If you’re a LinkedIn Live broadcaster, your branded Profile Background now shows up when you stream live.

👫 Pronouns
Via an optional new field at the top of your Profile, next to your name, you can add your gender pronouns.

🤝 Service Pages
Now you can showcase your offerings from your personal profile.

Apart from having a great profile picture, here are 3 more ways to get a visually attractive profile 👉

🖼 Add a Cover Photo
You can simply design a cover photo with Canva (or similar websites), just select ‘LinkedIn Banner’ to get started.

📰 Add Media
Documents, photos, videos, presentations - if you got it, flaunt it!

🏢 Link Company Pages to Your Profile
Failing to do this, makes your profile look less professional, empty and maybe even sad.
