Excited to share a look into my recent UX/UI project! 🌿📱

RecycleU is an app designed to partner with universities and empower students to recycle correctly. It tackles two key challenges:
🌎 1. High contamination rates in university recycling bins, which often make materials unrecyclable
🌎 2. Gen Z is being identified as the least likely generation to recycle

To address these pain points, I did both individual and group research of analyzing interview transcripts, affinity mapping, and building user personas to better understand student behaviors and barriers. From there, I developed user flows, interactive prototypes, and a brand identity system.

I’m thrilled to showcase my recent rebrand project for The Life Ring Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports children and families affected by cancer. The goal was to bring new energy, clarity, and empathy to both their visual identity and the identity of their Fighting Kids Cancer campaign.

☀️ Excited to share a recent project I’ve been working on! ☀️ I created a brand identity, packaging, and event pop-up design proposal for KindSol, a solar lamp company that focuses on both sustainability and wellness.

For this project, I wanted to create an experience that went beyond just showcasing a product. The outdoor pop-up invites visitors not only to see demonstrations of the product live but also to interact with it. Guests can build their own mini solar keychain lamps, learning firsthand how solar energy can be both functional and inspiring.

This project brought together my passions for sustainable design, wellness, and experiential branding, and it was exciting to see how people can connect with the product’s purpose through hands-on engagement.

For the second half of my study abroad trip, I stayed in Amsterdam but visited various spots around the Netherlands as well as Antwerp, Belgium. For my Amsterdam assignments, I was required to create a "visual map" of my experience and a critical poster of a landmark.

Pup-Peroni is a popular dog treat brand. Their packaging isn’t recyclable or eco-friendly. With this project, I not only wanted to rebrand their company but also find a more sustainable yet cost-effective packaging solution for their treats.

For the past three weeks, I have had the opportunity to study abroad in London and Amsterdam. During the trip, I visited museums, local design studios, and print shops. Each stop offered a new perspective on the creative process and the design industry.

I’m thrilled to share my contributions to the branding for the Iowa State University Brew Lab! The Brew Lab, located on the Iowa State University campus, is a brewing science laboratory that has teamed up with the ISU Foundation to create exclusive beer flavors just for Iowa State.

While my final logo design wasn’t selected as the official logo, it significantly influenced the final design and was instrumental in shaping their brand identity.
In addition to the logo, I also had the opportunity to design tap handles for local bars across Iowa. I modeled and 3D-printed prototypes, which were presented to the client and the Iowa State Marketing Board. The feedback was incredibly encouraging, and I’m excited that they hope to move forward with official production for bars! If you’re in the Ames area, keep an eye out for these taps at your favorite spots soon!
