Meet Mika.

Fresh face. Natural presence. Strong potential in front of the camera.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Mika as he begins building his modelling portfolio, and what stood out to me was how naturally he settled into the camera.

No overdoing it. No trying too hard. Just presence.

We created a series of clean, natural portraits designed to show him, his look, expression and versatility.

Sometimes the best portraits aren’t planned. ❤️📷

I met these two beautiful twin sisters while they were working at the networking event I organized in Utrecht.

And yes… they’re twins! 👯‍♀️ Swipe ➡️ to meet the other sister. ❤️

From the first moment, I was impressed by how friendly, sweet and genuinely helpful they both were. Before I even realized it, we were chatting, laughing, and having those little conversations that make you feel comfortable with someone almost immediately.

Of course… being me, eventually I had to pick up my camera. 😄📷

They let me photograph them, although there was that little bit of suspicion…

“But is the photo actually going to be beautiful?” 😏

And THAT is exactly why I love what I do.

You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to become someone else when a camera appears.

The beautiful photo is already there, in your expression, your smile, your personality, and especially in that moment when you forget I’m holding a camera.

I loved being able to show them afterwards, See? The photo is beautiful because YOU were simply being you. ❤️

Sometimes a photoshoot gives you more than just new photos. 😉

Meet Niels.

Niels is building his own startup and came to me because, like every entrepreneur, at some point you realize that your face is part of your brand too.

We planned some new personal branding photos… but somewhere between the camera, conversations and lots of laughs, something else happened:

We discovered that we might actually be able to collaborate together. 🙌

And honestly, I love when that happens.

Because this is one of my favorite things about working with entrepreneurs, you never really know where one conversation can lead.

You come for the photos…
you leave with the photos, a good time, and sometimes even a new business connection. 😄

Niels, it was an absolute pleasure having you in front of my camera!

And now I’m curious to see where this new connection takes us.

There is beautiful… and then there is beautifully yourself.

This smile says so much without saying a single word.

Warmth. Confidence. Joy. Openness.
But most of all, authenticity.
This is exactly what I want to capture when someone stands in front of my camera. Not the “perfect pose.” Not the smile you think you’re supposed to give me. I want you.

That little spark in your eyes.
The way your whole face changes when the real smile comes out.
The expression that the people who know you would immediately recognize and say, “Yes. That’s her.”

Because she is absolutely beautiful in this portrait, but what makes this image special to me is that you can almost feel who she is.
And THAT is what personal branding photography should do.
Your photos shouldn’t only show people what you look like.

They should give them a glimpse of what it feels like to meet you. 🤍

There comes a point where you stop trying to become someone else… and simply allow yourself to be seen.

Not because you’re perfect.
But because you’ve finally realized that authenticity will always be more powerful than perfection.

Every line tells a story.
Every challenge leaves a lesson.
Every smile carries strength that wasn’t there before.

I’m learning to embrace every version of myself, and to show up exactly as I am.

Maybe that’s where true confidence begins.

Some people think confidence comes first.

It doesn’t.

Courage comes first.

This is one of the scariest things I’ve done.
Not because of the camera…
I’ve been behind one for years.

But because this time, I’m stepping in front of it.

As a branding photographer, I meet so many incredible people who tell me:
“I’m not photogenic.”
“I hate being in front of the camera.”
“I’m not confident enough.”

The truth?

Most of the time, it isn’t about the camera.
It’s about the fear of being seen.

I know that feeling…
because I’m living it too.

So today, I’m choosing to show up anyway.

Not because I’m fearless.
Because I refuse to let fear decide my story.

If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect moment”…
maybe this is your reminder:

You don’t have to feel ready.
You just have to take the first step.
