Improving your body isn't about chasing a six-pack or perfectly shaped b***y; every body and individual is unique. Not everyone wants or can achieve the same toned physique, and that's okay. Unfortunately, this can lead to feelings of insecurity and discourage people from exercising. Emma from Embody aims to change this by creating an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves, regardless of body type. I'm Carmen, a 26 year old Dutch designer who lives and chills in Castricum. When I'm not designing, photographing, drawing, or tattooing, you'll find me at a gig or on the back of my handsome horse. I'm always striving to improve myself, not only my skillset, but also my habits. For instance, I've traded in my car for public transport, had solar panels installed on my roof to create a more sustainable office, and said goodbye to meat! I'm particularly excited to work on projects that have a sustainable angle.

I love working as a solo entrepreneur! It's great to constantly meet new people with cool goals and help them achieve them. I'm really curious about your plans too!

Hoe heb ik dit project aangepakt?

Mijn eerste stap was het ontdekken van wat er nog ontbrak in de restaurant beleving in de omgeving van Uitgeest. Hieruit is de persoonlijke en vriendelijke uitstraling voortgekomen die is gecreëerd. Deze was niet alleen onderscheidend, maar sloot ook perfect aan bij de energie van de eigenaren en het personeel. Ik ben gestart met het zoeken naar passende lettertypes en een logo dat hierbij aansluit, heb leuke aanvullende illustraties toegevoegd en heb beelden gefotografeerd die deze uitstraling mooi ondersteunen.

How did I approach this project?

My first move was figuring out what was lacking in the dining scene around Uitgeest. This led to creating a warm and welcoming style. It wasn't just different; it also matched the friendly atmosphere of the owners and staff. I started by finding fonts and a logo that fit this style, added some fun extra drawings, and took photos that supported this friendly feel.

With the goal of becoming the coziest and most inviting restaurant in Uitgeest, Bistro Stokpaardje is well on its way. But to truly capture this vision, they needed an identity that matched the cozy atmosphere and delicious food they serve. Good Carma created a look and feel that fits perfectly with their style.
