It’s challenging watching pro-Palestinian activists celebrate what is ultimately an absolute loss for Syria and Palestine. Those who took over Syria are allied with Israel. Are funded by the United States.
It is difficult to see people over and over get duped into thinking US regime change will bring hope. It always only brings a sharp increase in total devastation.
But people need hope so badly, they will believe a fiction, if only to feel good for a day, a week, a month. And then once again, like with Iraq, like with Libya, US intentions will be made plain. And by that time, all these ‘progressive’ news outlets and podcasts will have turned away and forgotten about Syria. Like they turned away and forgot about Libya, “freed” from Gaddafi and then transformed into a country riddled with open-air slave markets.

Here’s an old print I made in 2022, quoting former US Army General Wesley Clark in 2007. His plan is working, just taking a little longer than 5 years.

Baby Sila is being raised in an encampent near Deir al-Balah by her big brother Farouk, the full-time care taker for her and her two siblings after the *ccupation killed their parents. We are fundraising $12,500 to pay travel coordinators for the family’s safe passage to Egypt. The children are suffering from diseases and malnourishment and must be evacuated.

Baby Sila is being raised in the camps by her big brother Farouk, the full-time care taker for her and her two siblings after the IDF killed their parents. As a full-time caretaker there is no way Farouk could get paid work, if any work could be found in Gaza.

This family lives in constant danger of daily artillery shelling and drone bombs in their makeshift home close to Deir al-Balah. We are fundraising $12,500 to pay travel coordinators for their safe passage to Egypt. They deserve a full life; Sila needs infant care and safety.

Sally’s big brother Farouk takes care of her and two other young siblings, who all suffer from diseases caused by poisoning and malnutrution. Sally needs kidney treatment to survive, but she’s trapped in Gaza. Please help her get to a hospital Egypt.

Recently I became friends with a 23-year old man in Gaza, caring for his 3 orphaned siblings after their parents were killed by the Israeli military. Farouk is a sweet young man; he’s in a lot of pain. His sister Sally is 5-years old; she’s suffering from kidney failure due to the poisoned water in Gaza. His other two siblings Sila and Ahmed are suffering from a skin disease due to that same poisoning.

This family is in constant danger, but there is a way out. There are *still* active organizations transporting Gazans into Egypt for a fee of $2500 per child and $5000 for anyone over 16.
Sally’s condition is getting worse every day. So I’m asking your help in getting them to safety so she can receive medical treatment in Egypt.

We can get them cross the border with $12,500.

I have verified his identity: We videochatted; I personally saw his conditions. He also sent me his live location through WhatsApp. He and his family are very real.

I have created a gofundme to collect enough money to get them across the border so that Sally can get the immediate critical kidney treatment she needs to survive, without getting separated from her family.

I hope folks consider the meaning of the word “more” in this quote, before responding with a knee-jerk reaction.

“[Lenin] saw the radical anticolonial movements as being more progressive and a more effective force against capitalism and imperialism than the organized working class,” quote by Robert Biel, author of Eurocentrism and the Communist Movement.

One way I could interpret this statement is that the anticolonial movement will *lead* the dissolution of capitalism and imperialism; this fight cannot be *led* by labor if/when a working class movement is not grounded in an anticolonial line.
But, best to listen to the conversation in context.
