For The Barbie Experience in Amsterdam, Thematic Development was responsible for the complete music production, including original composition, sound design and on-site mixing, in collaboration with Leisure Expert Group, Props B.V. and WONDR Experience.

From 60's big band jazz to 70's surf rock, from disco vibes to 80's and 90's pop influences, all the way to 2000's rock and 2010's EDM sounds. Every track was written specifically for its era.

This project was very different from our usual work. Instead of composing within one coherent theme, we created an entire musical timeline, from the 1960's through to modern EDM influenced styles, while keeping everything recognisably Barbie. A challenge we truly enjoyed.

With over 20 years of experience controlling special effects in attractions worldwide, this partnership is a natural next step. We now not only control the effects, we also supply them!

Trans Studio Bali | Road Rage: Wasteland Escape

Early 2018 i was asked by Trans Studio Corporation to work with Legacy Entertainment and a team of audio, video, lighting and show directors on their newest dark ride in Bali, Indonesia – Road Rage; Wasteland Escape. This dark ride is based on the Oceaneering EVO 6 Ride Vehicle as found throughout the world in major theme parks. After 4 months of programming Show Control, Audio, Video, Special Effects and Lighting systems the end result is now being enjoyed by many people every day.

This ride is a highlight in my career because i single handedly brought the attraction to life with my expertise in different programming disciplines. Nonetheless, I could not have done it without our outstanding creative team (Legacy Entertainment) and the different technical vendors that worked with us to make it all possible. (PT Albeta, Acoustic & Lighting, Oceaneering, Backstage Technologies, HIKA projection systems)
