𝐍𝐨𝐠 𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐠? 𝐉𝐚, 𝐰𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐭? 👋🏽

Op 22 februari rolden we de rode loper al uit voor onze nieuwe collega's in Nederland, maar afgelopen donderdag was het tijd om onze collega's van onze internationale kantoren te verwelkomen! Uit Frankrijk, Duitsland, België en Denemarken kwamen onze nieuwe collega's naar Helmond om Plato Group te leren kennen.

We begonnen de dag met elkaar beter te leren kennen en dieper in de essentie van Plato Group te duiken. Ze kregen ook een rondleiding door het hoofdkantoor, genoten van interessante presentaties van onze merken, hadden een heerlijke lunch, speelden een spel over onze bedrijfswaarden en sloten de dag af met een quiz! ✨

𝐆𝐞́𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞, een van onze nieuwe collega's van het Franse kantoor, deelde haar ervaring: "Omdat we een internationaal bedrijf zijn, is de introductiedag een goede gelegenheid om ideeën uit te wisselen tussen de verschillende afdelingen uit verschillende landen. Ik waardeerde vooral de inzichten die de verschillende teamleden deelden tijdens het spel over onze kernwaarden. Ik vond de rondleiding door onze productieomgeving ook erg fascinerend; ik zag zelfs Franse bestellingen live geproduceerd worden!"

On February 22nd, we already rolled out the red carpet for our new colleagues in the Netherlands, but last Thursday, it was time to welcome our colleagues from our international offices! From France, Germany, Belgium, and Denmark, our new colleagues made their way to Helmond to get to know Plato Group.

We kicked off the day getting to know each other better and delving deeper into the essence of Plato Group. They also got a tour through the headquarters, enjoyed interesting presentations from our brands, had a delicious lunch, played a game about our corporate values, and finished the day off with a quiz and some cool prizes! ✨

Géraldine, one of our new colleagues from the French office, shared her experience: "As we are an international company, the introduction day is a good opportunity to exchange ideas between the different departments from different countries. I especially appreciated the insights that the different team members shared during the game about our core values. I also found the tour through our production environment very fascinating, as I even got to see French orders being produced live!"

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 💚

Bij Plato Group hebben we duurzaamheid hoog in het vaandel staan en inspireren we onze werknemers om hetzelfde te doen. Onlangs hebben we onze medewerkers gevraagd welke proactieve stappen zij nemen om een positieve impact op onze planeet te maken.

𝐑𝐨𝐛, onze HR & Payroll Specialist op ons hoofdkantoor in Helmond, Nederland, vertelt ons wat hij doet om bij te dragen aan een groenere wereld:

"Een van de uitdagingen waar ik voor sta is de reisafstand tussen mijn huis en mijn werk, waardoor ik vaak mijn auto moet gebruiken. Daarom probeer ik op andere manieren mijn steentje bij te dragen aan een duurzamere wereld. Ik heb bijvoorbeeld de gewoonte om een timer te gebruiken om mijn douchebeurt te beperken tot maximaal 5 minuten. Dit bespaart niet alleen op energiekosten, maar is ook goed voor het milieu. Ik ben ook vrij strikt als het gaat om het sorteren van mijn afval. Dankzij mijn uitgebreide collectie Tupperware hoef ik geen plastic zakken te gebruiken om eten in te bewaren en te vervoeren. En waar mogelijk gebruik ik mijn fiets voor vervoer. Of ik nu naar de sportschool ga of naar de supermarkt, ik geef de voorkeur aan de fiets!"

At Plato Group, we make sustainability a high priority and inspire our employees to do the same. Recently, we reached out to our employees to learn about the proactive steps they're taking to make a positive impact on our planet.

𝐑𝐨𝐛, our HR & Payroll Specialist at our headquarters in Helmond, the Netherlands, tells us what he is doing to contribute to a greener world:

“One of the challenges I face is the travel distance between my home and work, which often necessitates using my car, contributing to my carbon footprint. Therefore, I try to do my part in other ways to contribute to a more sustainable world. For example, I've gotten into the habit of using a timer to limit my showers to a maximum of 5 minutes. This not only saves on energy costs, but it also benefits the environment. I'm also pretty strict when it comes to sorting my waste. My extensive collection of Tupperware allows me to avoid using plastic bags to store and transport food. And whenever possible, I use my bicycle for transportation. Whether I'm going to the gym or the grocery store, I prefer the bike!”

Gisteren hebben we onze nieuwste collega's uit Nederland hartelijk verwelkomd met een introductiedag! Afkomstig uit verschillende afdelingen binnen ons hoofdkantoor, werden onze nieuwe collega's voorgesteld aan de levendige wereld van Plato Group.

De dag zat boordevol mogelijkheden om te netwerken, onze merken te verkennen en inzicht te krijgen in onze productieprocessen. De medewerkers kregen een rondleiding door het hoofdkantoor, genoten van interessante presentaties, hadden een heerlijke lunch en speelden een spel over onze kernwaarden.

We willen onze nieuwe collega's bedanken voor hun deelname aan de introductiedag en wensen hen veel succes in hun reis bij Plato Group!

The day was packed with opportunities to network, explore our brands, and gain insight into our production processes. They got a tour through the headquarters, enjoyed interesting presentations from our brands, had a delicious lunch, and played a game about our corporate values.

Carnaval wordt gekenmerkt door kleurrijke optochten, kostuums, muziek en straatfeesten. Vandaag brachten een aantal van onze collega's deze carnavals sfeer zelfs mee naar kantoor door zich te verkleden in creatieve en kleurrijke kostuums.

𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐣 𝐡𝐞𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑! ✨

Op 22 december kwamen we met 300 collega's samen tijdens onze jaarlijkse kerstborrel. Het was een bijzonder moment van verbondenheid, waarin we de successen van het afgelopen jaar vierden en vol verwachting uitkeken naar wat 2024 ons zal brengen.

Onze kerstborrel vond plaats op ons hoofdkantoor, waar onze productiefaciliteit een betoverende transformatie onderging tot een waar kerstparadijs. De melodieuze klanken van DJ Leandro vulden de lucht, waardoor een feestelijke sfeer ontstond die uitnodigde tot dansen én zingen! Als een extra bijdrage aan deze festiviteiten hadden onze medewerkers dit jaar de unieke gelegenheid om hun eigen kerstgeschenk te kiezen op onze eigen kerstmarkt! 🎁

In lijn met de kerstgedachte werd afgelopen december een nieuw initiatief geintroduceerd binnen ons bedrijf: "𝑉𝑜𝑡𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐼𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑜 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑝 𝐹𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛'𝑠 𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑚𝑎𝑠 𝐷𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛". Dit initiatief gaf onze medewerkers de kans om te stemmen op het goede doel dat de donatie van de Plato Group Foundation zou ontvangen. Tijdens het kerstfeest werd daarom een speciaal moment gewijd aan de onthulling van het gekozen goede doel: Save the Children International!

Laten we deze geest van positiviteit en verbondenheid meenemen naar 2024!🚀

On December 22, more than 300 colleagues joined us for Plato's annual Christmas party. A moment of togetherness where we celebrated the successes of the past year and cheered on what 2024 will bring.

Our Christmas Party unfolded at our headquarters, where our production facility underwent a magical transformation into a Christmas wonderland. The musical sounds of DJ Leandro filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere that encouraged dancing and singing! As a delightful addition to our festivities, this year our employees had the unique opportunity to choose their own Christmas gifts at our very own Christmas market! 🎁

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, a new initiative was launched within our company last December: "𝑉𝑜𝑡𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐼𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑜 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑝 𝐹𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛'𝑠 𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑚𝑎𝑠 𝐷𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛". This initiative allowed our employees to vote for the charity that would receive the donation from the Plato Group Foundation. Therefore, a special moment during the Christmas party was dedicated to the unveiling of the chosen charity: Save the Children International!

Let's carry forward this spirit of positivity and togetherness into 2024! 🚀

Gisteren verwelkomden we onze nieuwe collega's uit Nederland met een introductiedag. Ze kwamen van verschillende afdelingen binnen ons hoofdkantoor en maakten kennis met de wereld van Plato Group door elkaar te leren kennen, de merken van Plato Group te ontdekken en alle aspecten van ons productieproces te verkennen. Er werd een rondleiding gegeven door het hoofdkantoor en onze productieomgeving, én er werden interessante presentaties gegeven over onze merken. De ochtend werd afgesloten met een heerlijke lunch.

Onze Plato Group Foundation schenkt een deel van onze winst aan goede doelen. ❤️

Een van de goede doelen die we hebben gesteund is het Jane Goodall Institute: een internationale non-profit organisatie die belangrijke stappen zet in de bescherming van chimpansees en hun leefomgeving, het waarborgen van gezondheid en onderwijs voor vrouwen en het creëren van harmonie tussen gemeenschappen en de natuur in Afrika. Ze betrekken en versterken lokale gemeenschappen en moedigen jonge generaties in bijna 100 landen aan om verandering te creëren met de Roots & Shoots jeugdprogramma's.

Meer dan de helft van onze donaties aan het Jane Goodall Instituut Nederland wordt gebruikt voor de bescherming van habitat in Tanzania als onderdeel van het Roots & Shoots Tanzania project. De donaties worden gebruikt om daar bomen te planten, te werken aan duurzame landbouwprojecten en waterwegen met elkaar te verbinden en te beschermen. De rest van onze donaties wordt besteed aan andere waardevolle projecten van het Jane Goodall Instituut in Afrika.

This is how we make :

Our Plato Group Foundation donates parts of our profit to charities.❤️

One of the charities that we supported is the Jane Goodall Institute, an international non-profit that makes important steps in protecting chimpanzees and their habitats, ensuring health and education for women, and establishing harmony between communities and nature in Africa. They involve and empower local communities and encourage young generations to create change with the Roots & Shoots youth programmes in nearly 100 countries.

More than half of our donations to the Jane Goodall Instituut Nederland are used for habitat protection in Tanzania as part of the Roots & Shoots Tanzania project. The donations are used to plant trees there, work on sustainable agricultural projects and connect and protect waterways. The rest of our donations are spent on the other many projects of the Jane Goodall Institute in Africa.

Verfrissende drankjes, zomerse muziek, heerlijk Mexicaans eten en een warme nazomerzon: alweer twee weken geleden proostten we met onze collega's uit Nederland en België op een heerlijke zomer! 🌯 🍹

Samen genoten we van de laatste zonnestralen en deelden we al onze vakantieverhalen. Onze dank gaat uit naar al onze collega's die deze avond tot een succes hebben gemaakt!

We kijken uit naar een succesvol en inspirerend herfstseizoen waarin we, samen met al onze collega's, weer vol nieuwe energie aan de slag gaan 💪🏽

Together, we enjoyed the last rays of sunshine and shared all our vacation stories. Our gratitude goes to all our colleagues who made this evening a success!

Dit is hoe wij maken:

Hoeveel van de recentelijk door jou gekochte producten zijn op een eerlijke en duurzame manier geproduceerd? Of het nu gaat om kleding, voedsel, sieraden of andere goederen; ze leggen vaak een lange weg af voordat ze onze winkels of deurmatten bereiken. Helaas worden boeren en arbeiders in ontwikkelingslanden niet altijd op een rechtvaardige manier behandeld, en het milieu lijdt vaak onder het productieproces. Verschillende factoren spelen hierbij een rol. Gelukkig zet 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 zich actief in om deze problemen aan te pakken en mobiliseren ze alle betrokken partijen, waaronder boeren, multinationals, overheden en consumenten.

Bij Plato Group hechten wij veel waarde aan dit belangrijke onderwerp. Via onze Plato Group Foundation steunen wij diverse goede doelen, waar Solidaridad vorig jaar een van was! ❤️

This is how we make :

How many of your recently purchased items were produced in a fair and sustainable way? Think about your food, clothes, jewellery, etc. They often travel a long way before they reach our shops or doormats. Farmers and workers in developing countries are not always treated fairly in production and trade, and the environment often suffers too. A lot of factors are at play here. 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 tackles them and actively mobilises all vital parts of the chain: farmers, multinationals, governments and consumers.

At Plato Group, we find this very important. Via our 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, we support various charities.❤️
Last year, Solidaridad was one of them! Our Plato Group Foundation donated to Solidaridad to help them realise their mission.
