Excited to share the naming and logo design for massage & pilates startup company Ctrl stress delete

The company naming and logo design forms part of the brand identity, social media strategy and social media content creation project I’m currently developing for them.

Ctrl Stress Delete is not your average massage & pilates company and certainly doesn’t want to look like one.

The company is rebellious, creative, innovative and has a strong connection with the surf culture and it’s way of life, nature and is committed to a sustainable planet.

It is this philosophy that oozes through in their work ethic and excellent, unique and personal treatments.

The Ctrl Stress Delete name encapsulates the essence of its service; controlling muscle stress and treat and delete the (t)issues.

☝️ Why your content should be Fit for Format and what it means. Let’s dive straight into it!

What does Fit for Format mean?

1️⃣ It means that you should always make sure that the image size of your content is optimized for the social media platform it will be posted on, and that it has the perfect size for people to be able to enjoy it on their mobile phones, tablets or desktops.

Example:
When people try out a new food dish and use a recipe video for guidance, they will normally vertically place their phone or iPad in a stand on their kitchen counter to have their hands free. Knowing this behaviour, it makes total sense to create recipe videos in vertical format.

2️⃣ It means that the creative concept of the content is specifically created to take full advantage of the possibilities of the social media platform it will be posted on.

Example:
We all know what a regular Facebook or Instagram post looks like. Mainly due to the tons of uninspired, boring and similar looking (Canva) templates 😴...

But by being creative within the limitations of a social media platform, you still have a chance to create content that is fresh & memorable. The example of the Facebook post in the video above is a perfect example of how to create a Scroll Stopping post!

Great video content starts with detailed storyboards 🖌 🖼. They help clients envision the end result, help to see if the concept works and if the ex*****on fits within budget.

They also help identify errors at an early stage and help with editing the video once all footage has been shot.

By combining live action footage 🚶‍♂️ with stop motion animation ⏳ and sound design 🔈, we caught the attention of our target audience with a unique and memorable social video.

The coffee recipe video forms part of the content created for the Jacobs Barista Academy. A content creation concept to launch the new Jacobs Barista Editions coffee range.

Skwatta Boi’s new web design also needed to include a shop where fans can buy Skwatta Boi apparel, music gear and other lifestyle products.

The design finds the right balance between his raw, authentic and expressive music and brand, and a modern, clean UX/UI customer friendly focussed web experience.

This so fans and customers alike will enjoy browsing and discovering the new Skwatta Boi site while also being able to easily purchase their favorite apparel and products with a seamlessly integrated shopping experience 🛒.

The logo reflects the raw, uninhibited, expressive nature of Skwatta Boi’s music and brand. It also taps into, and references, the street culture closely associated with Skwatta Boi’s music and lifestyle.

Although the logo is raw and expressive, it pairs up perfectly with Skwatta Boi’s more sophisticated and modern other brand design elements and fonts. This to reflect both Skwatta Boi’s music and savvy entrepreneurial business side.

Skwatta Boi’s vision for his brand is to expand into a lifestyle brand that sells apparel, music gear and other lifestyle products. We made sure the logo is optimised and future proof to live up to this vision.

☝️ Here’s why bad design will cost you money;

Most people think that design costs money.
Some even believe it’s a waste of money.

But to run a successful business,
you need to invest in how your business looks
and is perceived by others.

Branding is all about how customers see you.
If you don’t feel like spending money on your business, why should your customers?

⚠️ Here are 5 reasons how bad design can hurt your company:

1️⃣ Bad design will not make people trust you or your business 🧐.

2️⃣ Bad design leaves a bad first impression.
Generic, thoughtless design can give the impression that you don't care about your business 🤷‍♂️.
