Week 52, places.

So many things to say, can’t wait to get to more serious stuff again but here are some lovely scraps I’ve cooked up this and last week. From home, for the first time in 10 years? It’s been a weird year, not fully negative but let’s also state that stuff around me got more and more serious and being around those that make you feel comfortable and loved became somehow way more valuable and important in 25.

Happy ending to anyone who’s reading this, can’t wait for 2026 since I literally have some big stuff on the horizon.

XOXOXO

Random explorations done in the past week. In a time im constantly asking myself what I want to do, the more in dive into minimal ways of expressing myself.

Also to do an exhibition in was amazing, it gave me so much new energy plus being able to see amazing talks at the day after and meeting awesome creative talent really fueled my tank and gave me new insights too. But it was a great starting point and I already have way more in real life events and products coming up to build upon.

Biggest take away was that I really need to reflect more upon who I am, what I like and when to pause.. and how much I like having a family and having them close to me lol.

And does everything I do needs to be on brand and connected to each other? Helll no. Let’s just play and see where next week will take me.

Locations: my mind, the highway in Austria and Brno

When I had the chance to do something in I had to truly deep dive into my body of work to find something that made sense to focus on and to come up with something I haven’t done before. As always.

KLEUR Exhibition

Kleur is inspired by my roots and the path that shaped my taste. Our colour choices make us unique, and no one can copy them, because no one has lived the exact same life. Not even an AI bot could be trained on that, while every visual style could easily be copied these days.

This series includes 23 pieces that rely only on colour, because nothing feels as personal or true to me as my own sense of colour.

Kleur is my way of showing where I come from and what has shaped me.

Who ever took the time to read this, I appreciate you

It’s fair to say that in the past few years I’ve been reflecting a lot. Not just on our industry but also on myself. What do I want to do? What makes me happy, and what should I try next?

Being in this field of digital creation for over 2 decades, I realized it’s also a realization that within my comfort zone I reached everything I could have ever dreamed of. Collaborated with the biggest brands, spoke on the biggest stages, and had the pleasure to be involved in tons of groundbreaking projects.

Reflecting upon styles, mediums, and tools, I realized that there is always one thing that’s sort of pivotal and always 100% me. The more I looked at it the more I realized that taste is the most powerful thing we, as creatives, have. It’s all within tiny decisions that make us stand out from others. We observe, we try, we create. That was the motivation for me to let my first real solo exhibition be not about a style or a medium, but all about the reflection of the taste and decisions I’ve made over the past 20 years, in color. This also because Boldhalle ( slide 14 ) is perfectly made for minimalistic pieces of art.

Thanks so much to the folks from .studio and for trusting my vision, believing in me, and for being such a bunch of awesome friends and collaborators.

Blessed with such opportunities and such believers around me, I know times are hard out there for digital creators at this point.

YLANGYLANG

So beside exploring and doing pretty weird projects these days such as books, art with code or very conceptual 3D driven light studies, I still tend to create images that make me wow every now and then.

YLANGYLANG is one of those that were “like oh thaatssss tight moments”.

The fun thing is that it includes Photoshop, Illustrator and c4d. I did try to top it off as a photographer, not as a designer. Love that the resolution allowed me to take some weird crops too.

Title is simply since I vibed to the track by FKJ when creating this piece.

What was supposed to be an easy week with some client work and some free time to explore new techniques it turned into total mayhem and noise.
Got my work stolen by a huge AI start-up where they pretended my work was born from a prompt too lol. Crypto is down bad. Did some screenprinting to stay away from the screen for a bit, which felt AMAZING. Posted an open letter to Adobe that had 129193983 DMs and responses in the end. Got my work stolen by a TV company that simply thought boosting the saturation with 90% was enough.

Had laughs with the family and some time to explore new things on the artistic side too. Never a dull moment it seems. We march on.

The eldest knows my favorite pilsner already ( final slide )

Have a nice weekend!

Kind of explored all over the place. From 3D to 2D.
Refraction, dithering. Photoshop, illustrator, C4D back to real life and being a father.
Been reflecting a load on what I want to do, not just the upcoming weeks but the overall boxes I want to tick this year. This means having calls; tapping into new and old networks.
Its still warming up though, nothing set, but ideas start to shape up and it’s all mainly things within the coding and physical realm.
-
First slide was an animated piece done for Etherlink🔗.
Where I tested some brand new 3D shaders in c4D.

Rest random raw sketching, exploring digital art, illustrations and new ways of bringing my colors to life.
