We’re very excited to announce that we’re co-organising an exhibition at Area 51 with , as part of Dutch Design Week 2023 in Eindhoven (October 21-29). We’ll be presenting a series of new works on glass that build upon our previous experiments with textures, tools and paint, while expanding into the realm of colour, typography, and text.

On top of that, we’ll spend five days in the exhibition space with Antigoon during DDW (on October 21, 23, 24, 27 and 28), throwing our human-human co-creation methods together with his human-computer co-creation methods to discover what rules, tools and programs can be applied to push both our processes in unexpected directions.

You’re all invited to see the works and their creation! We are looking forward to seeing you all!

In between rain showers and summer holidays, we painted this 27x9m facade of a residential building in Rotterdam-Oost for —our biggest mural to date!

Volkskracht is a wealth fund that promotes the mental and physical well-being of the population of Rotterdam. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, .nael wrote a poem that got distributed across the city in several murals, including the one we painted.

In our design, we focused on the power of the collective; the energy that flows when people start to work and make together.

Acrylics on transparencies
30x42 cm

During the making process of ‘Synopsis’ (see previous post) we did many experiments where we scraped away acrylics from transparencies with selfmade tools. We used these sheets to expose directly on a screen printing frame.

Not all of these experiments made it to the final screen print but are still worth showing. We assembled a selection of these original transparencies into a series of collages.

P.S. We’ve updated our shop with some other products as light objects, skateboards and prints.

We were invited by music festival Bergen op Zoom to contribute visually to one of the various locations. We made a series of sculptures titled ‘Melt Mold Metal’ which is a tribute to the work that used to take place at this old metal foundry.

The sculptures consist of the same individual components but form a different composition each time by connecting them differently. 🔗

We were asked by to visualise the concept of interspace for Fanzine Issue 05. We are very honoured that our entry was chosen for the cover.

Last month, we contributed to the group show ‘All Hands On Deck’ . Five artists were asked to design a deck, each inspired by a different skateboarder.

We made a deck called ‘CIRCUIT’ for . In response to his love for Formula1 racing, we designed a race track that reminds of the aesthetics of pump- and slot car racing tracks. 🏎🛹🏁

Last Thursday was the opening of № Gallery: it was a blast. Thanks to everyone who dropped by, with a special thanks to those who bought one of our pieces, we are very grateful! There are still a few lightboxes + works on glass left.

Today, № will open at the gallery! We’ll be showing a new series of ten handmade light objects, in addition to some earlier work. All based on our never-ending research on improvisation techniques and our recent obsession for creating work directly on glass. Come join us for art, drinks and music!
