Still speechless, vibrating, feeling honoured and grateful to the bone to have had the opportunity to celebrate the project of making almost 10 meters of the 17th century Leiden cloth Saai. Yesterday it was examined in the exact place where this happened in 1690; . The Saai was granted a lead seal and now it's shining and ruffling it's feathers in this historical room (filling the space with its scent of melted butter and p**s :)
We ceremonially celebrated this day with (a big part of) the volunteers with who we made this piece of fabric, by making a circle with our own hand spun and dyed thread. 🧶â•
