What's the difference between a product idea and a business? An idea is free.
A business requires decisions you cannot take back.

A lot of founders stay in idea mode longer than they admit. Not because they are not ready. Because the moment you start, it becomes real.
Real means sourcing, pricing, compliance, manufacturing, and margins. All at once.
The gap between concept and profitable business is wider than anyone tells you. Most of what lives there is invisible until you are already inside it.

Most founders underestimate the gap and overestimate the timeline. Then feel behind when they are actually right on track.
Before you move to ex*****on, answer these three: Who will buy this? Can this be profitable? How will it be made and by whom?
If you cannot answer all three, go find the answers before you spend money.

The fastest way to waste your entire product launch budget?
Skipping the steps that feel optional.

A €15,000 production batch. Destroyed.
Not because the product was wrong. Not because the supplier was bad.
Because there were no clear criteria for what "ready" actually meant. The factory produced what they understood. Not what she meant.

Most founders approve on feeling. The sample looks close enough. The pressure to move is real. So they approve. And hope.
A sample is not a production brief.
Before you approve any production run, you need five clear yeses. Swipe to see the checklist every founder needs before saying yes to production.

If the answer is not a clear yes to all five, you are not ready to manufacture. You are ready to keep developing.
Slowing down at the right moment is not inefficiency. It is leadership.

Your manufacturer gives you an MOQ. You have no idea if it is reasonable. So you say yes.
MOQ feels fixed. Authoritative. Like you either meet it or you are not taken seriously.
MOQ is not a rule. It is a starting position.

It is usually driven by setup costs and material minimums. Not by what you need. When you understand what is behind the number, the conversation changes completely.
Before you respond to any MOQ, ask: What is driving this number? What happens to unit cost at half the quantity? Can we phase the commitment?

You will not always get a yes. But you will always get information. And information is how you negotiate.
The founder who asks better questions gets better terms. Every time.

You thought your amazing would be in your customer's hand in a year.
Three years later, you are still in development.

You are not behind because you are slow. Nobody told you what physical product development actually involves. The sourcing rounds. The sampling. The compliance. The reformulations. The supplier who goes quiet for three weeks.

Most founders make decisions in the wrong order: Branding before the product is stable. Packaging before the formula is confirmed. Retailer conversations before the margins work.

Every step out of sequence costs time and money. That is the real reason launches run late.
Map your development sequence before you start the next phase. That one step will save you more time than any shortcut.
Moving fast in the wrong sequence is not momentum. It is rework.

My free guide walks you through the right sequence.

If every project feels like starting from scratch.
And your team does not know who owns what--> Decisions keep landing back with you. Each launch is an improvisation. Which is exhausting. And expensive. I know, because I've been there.

When there is no repeatable development framework, you cannot scale what you cannot reproduce.
You do not need a perfect process. You need one that gets better each time.

After your next launch, do this: spend 30 minutes writing down the sequence and what you would change. That debrief is the beginning of your process. Remember, it does not have to be perfect.

You don't have to develop and launch your product alone. Inside the Physical Product Founders Hub, we build that repeatable process together from the ground up. This program is for female founders building consumer products.

“I thought I could launch this product in a year. Three years later, we’re almost there. And I’m still figuring things out.”

I hear this from product founders more often than I can count.
Not because their idea isn’t good. Not because they aren’t working hard enough.

Because no one ever showed them where to start.
When the foundation is missing, everything takes longer and costs more.
Decisions pile up before you even have a brief ready. You spend time and money figuring out things that could have been clear from day one.

I created a free guide to give you the starting foundation most founders wish they had before any of that began.

6 clear steps, based on 20+ years of leading product development projects, in a format you can use from day one.
