Since Nuer people were reportedly forced to eat human flesh, there have still been South Sudanese who say that the Nuer are criminals.
Since Nuer women were allegedly forced to remove unborn babies by force with sharp knives, there have still been South Sudanese who claim that the Nuer are criminals.
Since the killings of Nuer people in Juba, and despite allegations of the use of gas and chemical weapons against them, some people still claim that the Nuer are rebels.
It seems that no matter what suffering the Nuer have endured, there are always those who continue to blame them. In my view, no crime imaginable has been left undone against the Nuer people by the government of Salva Kiir Mayardit.
One day, a Nuer will become President of South Sudan, and Nuer people will walk freely without fear. They will proudly beat their chests and say, 'This is the place we call home; this is what we fought for.' All 64 tribes will celebrate together and enjoy that moment with great smiles, unity, and peace.
