MeroShare’s UX Was a Nightmare – So I Redesigned It!
As a regular user of MeroShare, I can’t even count how many times I opened the app, only to be frustrated within seconds. A blank screen, no useful insights, and a UI that made even simple tasks feel exhausting.
If you’ve used this app, you probably know the struggle. Checking your portfolio felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. There was no clear information hierarchy, no engaging dashboard, and way too much wasted space.
I knew something had to change. So, I redesigned it with proper UX research and a user-first approach.
đź’ˇ What Was Wrong with the Old Design?
❌ Blank Space Syndrome – The homepage greeted users with... nothing. Instead of displaying key investment insights, it just wasted precious screen real estate.
❌ Lack of Hierarchy – Important data was either buried or scattered, making it hard to focus on what really matters.
❌ No Immediate Value – Users had to dig deep to see portfolio performance, share values, or apply for IPOs. A financial app should empower users, not frustrate them.
🎯 My UX-Focused Redesign Approach
✅ Instant Portfolio Insights – The new design features a dashboard that immediately shows your total portfolio value, percentage change, and available balance. No more unnecessary taps!
✅ Structured Information – Shares are listed clearly, along with last traded price (LTP) and gain/loss, so you can quickly make informed decisions.
✅ Easy IPO Applications – No more confusion. The "Apply Now" buttons are bold and visible, making investments seamless.
✅ Visual Hierarchy & Engagement – The new UI guides the user’s eye, using contrast, typography, and spacing to prioritize information effectively.
This wasn't a major UI overhaul—just thoughtful UX decisions that should have been there from the start! It’s proof that good design isn’t about making things look pretty, it’s about making them work effortlessly.
