The history of the one-horned Rhino in Nepal is a story of near extinction followed by remarkable recovery, driven by strong conservation policies, international support, and the commitment of the Nepalese government and local communities.Red Circle has been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit and uncover the stories of local heroes who are working relentlessly for the conservation and repopulation of Rhinos in their historical habitat of Chitwan National Park in association with WWF Nepal. We would like to congratulate each actors who are playing their part in the conservation of these marvelous species . Challenges such as habitat fragmentation, human-wildlife conflict, and poaching still persist, but Nepalβs conservation efforts have become a model for other countries.
