"Speed Over Perfection"
Why Your System is Dying Before It Launches
Your system will be obsolete if you spend more time building it than launching it.
I see it constantly in the tech and finance sectors: founders spend monthsโeven years, polishing a "perfect" system in a vacuum. By the time they finally hit 'Live,' the market has shifted, the tech has evolved, and the solution is already a relic.
It was an absolute blast to have Samuel Cavanagh
the founder and brain behind better financeโข๏ธ | NZ, at the PPC Hero NZ office recently. Samuel is a prime example of someone who understands the intersection of finance and technology. We had a deep-dive session on keeping systems agile for both the dealer side and the finance broker end.
The energy was electric because we both live by a common truth: Speed is a feature.
In our industry, the "end product" is a moving target. If you aren't "cooking" and testing in real-time, you're just building a museum piece.
My rule as a business owner? Start fast and fail fast. *
The Trap: Waiting for 100% readiness.
The Reality: 80% and live beats 100% and hidden every single time.
The Goal: Build, launch, listen, and pivot.
Stop over-engineering and start deploying. If you aren't a little embarrassed by your first version, you launched too late.
Great things are coming from our collaboration. Stay Tuned ๐
