AI-generated design is not the enemy.
But lazy, generic, obviously-AI content might be hurting your brand more than you think.
There is absolutely a place for AI — especially for brainstorming, small local businesses, quick concepts, or businesses that are just getting started and need to move with a limited budget.
But here’s the thing: people are getting better at spotting it.
And once people notice it, it can quietly affect how they feel about your business.
I recently read a story on another Facebook group about a child walking past a shop window and immediately saying, “That looks so AI, it makes me not want to shop there.”
That stuck with me.
Because if even an 8-year-old can spot when something feels fake, imagine what your customers are subconsciously picking up online.
- Good design should build trust.
- Good marketing should feel intentional.
- And good content should feel like your business — not like the same AI template everyone else is using.
AI can support the process.
But it should not become the whole brand, or replace thoughtful design, real messaging, and human judgement.
Because long-term, your brand needs more than content that looks impressive for five seconds.
It needs to feel credible, consistent, and real.
