✨Our first holiday for far too long✨
Headed up to the Peak District National Park to explore somewhere neither of us had been before - of course accompanied by our trusty travel buddy Cooper for some of the trip🐶!

Our favourite places to visit:
📍Bakewell - yes they have bakewells and a brewery!
📍Castletown
📍Ladybower Reservoir/Derwent Dam
📍Padley Gorge

Where else would you recommend next?

Have you ever heard of, or visited Durdle Door on the Jurassic coast in Dorset?

A stunning landscape with rugged cliffs, and the iconic arch which was formed over 25 million years ago!

It’s a top attraction to visit in England, however we’d recommend visiting outside of holidays times as it can get extremely busy!

Who else loves finding hidden beaches?

We went exploring yesterday around the coast near Land’s End, and came across Porthgwarra beach!

Just a short cliff walk from the small coffee shop and we were stepping onto this paradise. It’s still not quite warm enough to swim, but we will definitely be coming back here, as there’s so many more bays to explore!

📍B O S C A S T L E

After a whole week of exploring Cornwall, we think we have found our favourite place...

This picturesque village has beautiful cottages & the cutest little harbour which, unfortunately in 2004, was devastated by flash flooding and it took almost a year for them to rebuild it!

We’re very happy we were able to visit and we have absolutely fallen in love with it👌🏻

Can you believe this is in England?

Absolutely blown away with how beautiful Cornwall is and feeling very lucky that this is just on our doorstep!

We sometimes forget that it’s just as important to explore where you live and sometimes you might find a dreamy place like this and feel like you’re in a different country!

Who else loves exploring there home country?

💐 Spring is here 💐

*SAVE THIS FOR YOUR UK TRIP*

Easter time in Guernsey means it’s time to see the Bluebells!
This spot is ‘Bluebell Woods’ on the east coast of Guernsey.

It’s been so much fun going to see all these places again that I (Elise) haven’t been too for so long, and being able to show Sophie some new and beautiful places 🌟

Just another reason to add Guernsey to your UK travel list🇬🇬

Have you ever visited Guernsey?

This week has been one big whirlwind for us! From having to leave NZ, coming home to see family after 2.5 years and meeting our first nephew Arthur, to both getting covid and isolating on separate islands💔

It’s not been the big welcome home we were expecting, but we are home and safe and that’s what is most important!

We are constantly reminiscing about all our travels as we go through photos and videos with our families

Feeling so so grateful for everything we were able to experience and how much we were able to travel even through the pandemic🌏

It’s a bit of an adjustment being apart after so long, but they say absence makes the heart grow fonder😆

We are looking forward to our next adventure, wherever that may take us, and can’t wait to share that with all of you 🌟

2.5 years ago we left Heathrow to travel the world!

Even though we only managed Australia & New Zealand, we have had the most amazing experiences and have come home incredibly grateful for what we have been able to do.

It’s no doubt we have the travel bug now & will be planning our next adventure very soon, but for now we’re very happy to be home 🥰

Before & after of when we left 2.5 years ago!

Pretty much everytime before we swim in a waterfall, we do a quick check to see if there are any eels lurking in the water and then decide if it’s worth the swim or not - most the time it definitely is worth that small fear and this waterfall, just an hour from Auckland CBD was definitely worth it!

These are the only negatives of freshwater swimming which we never really think about until we see one, they’re pretty scary 😂

Would you go swimming with eels in the water?
