I loved working on the layout and design for this tool kit with my amazing niece, Sarah! I have used it as a useful and informative resource for my own kids, and have found it so helpful in identifying feelings, naming them, and then learning what to do with the ones that are hard to cope with 🙌

Love that her mahi is making a tangible difference in this big wide world.

Loved seeing my ‘pick up 5’ logo displayed on a pull up banner at this evening’s ‘Farewelling the Godwits’ at the Southshore Spit gathering. Pick up 5 is a wonderful initiative by the Avon Ihutahi Estuary Trust 🙌 I love our local whenua and community so it’s a pleasure and honour to contribute to it’s health in this very small way. Farewell Godwits! Safe travels ❤️

This year I've had the pleasure of working with the Canterbury Charity Hospital to put together design for various fundraising ventures, including:

The 'Pick Up 5' campaign is being run by a committee made up of two groups: The Estuary Trust and the Ōpāwaho Heathcote River Network. To begin the process, each group engaged it's own graphic designer to come up with a logo.

I was approached to design a "Pick Up 5" graphic that was eye-catching, easy to incorporate in a variety of publications, and easily recognisable. I'm proud to say my design for the logo won hands down! The next stage of creating the layouts for the poster went to the other graphic designer who thoughtfully incorporated my logo in the layout... and here's the final result!

It's a really worthwhile campaign which spoke to me particularly, living sandwiched between the estuary and the beach. Hopefully this logo and poster will encourage a more thoughtful approach to our environment and waste 🙌

This morning (all by myself) I gathered up my big-girl courage & attended the Creative Launchpad Brunch by the Beach event to mingle with other freelance graphic designers from Otautahi. I'm so glad I did! I came away with not only a rad new drink bottle and GSM mags, but inspiration and encouragement from some very nice, like-minded creatives sharing their experience and tips 🙌

Shout out to the amazing team behind the event. I felt the aroha❤️
